Can this be installed on a Google tablet with Chromecast? I have a brand new one. I already have tivi mate on my Google Chromecast stick.
TiViMate is optimized for TV and you won't find it in Google Play on your tablet. However, you can sideload the apk on your tablet but the functionality will not be great. You can find the apk on tivimate.com
How do you activate a second device?
Just install TiViMate on the second device and register with your email and password, it will be added to your list of device. Check it on tivimate.com
But can you record on it? Tivimate bypassing the default system picker and no smb just external storage?
The last version of TiviMate has the system picker, but in my case it does not work. The only thing you can do is record to a NAS. You can try to connect a USB drive to your router and use it as a NAS.

No, TiViMate does not contain any channels.
