MORTEIN: Various animated "Louie the Fly" cartoon commercials (UPDATED VERSION)

- This is considered an update to the previous 'Various animated "Louie the Fly" cartoon commercials' video that was posted onto this channel approximately twelve days ago. For that video, it seems I've previously missed and/or left out advertisements, so it seems appropriate to create an update featuring those that I forgot. Contained within' this video is a new layout and identification of which advertisement aired in what country, language and broadcast year. Also included is video courtesy to various users on CZcams whom uploaded these commercials onto the internet.
Like with the previous compilations, we look through the various animated appearances of Louie the Fly in advertisements for the popular Australian insecticide, Mortein, from the 1990s to early 2000s. This includes those that were broadcasted in Brazil, Malaysia and India, now with two from Chile and Hungary.

As it turns out, there's likely a possibility that these advertisements were made with the help of those working on The Ren and Stimpy Show by the time of 1995. Was digging through the internet and found a blog post from Arthur Filloy, who worked on R&S during the same period. In his post were character model art for a dust mite, rat and ant for Mortein Louie the Fly TVCs.

nobody has seen more kills like louie the fly. he has seen many kills, murders, assasinations, brutality of his friends and family he has to warn the others for their own safety but they don't ever listen, he has survived many homicides, wars and missions. the many kills he saw is as much as 2 world war 2s and 10 9/11s. he went through so much, we must pay respects to his honor of the most greatest solder ever.

Fun fact: This version of Louie doesn't die much compared to the others.

As we see in some of these ads, apparently Louis has served in whatever the insect equivalent of the military ,he quit after getting tired of the inhumane deaths of his friends and allies. A moment of silence for those poor mosquitoes (and other assorted insects) who lost their lives.😔

As a smart person of anti-bacteria i go to say that this is the way i like Louie the fly as a cartoon.
A good direction for these characters to take should be something similar to cartoon episodes like “Squid Noir” from “SpongeBob SquarePants” and “Where’s Wanda” from “The FairlyOdd Parents”.

Actually the year of the Malaysia's TVCs is easy to know (1995-2009) , just look the KP code only (example:KP/98/0994) KP means advertising authority (not sure) , 98 means the year that the TVCs published in 1998 , while 0994 means the number of TVCs registration.
If you are the ads archiver , you may know about it :)
While for JIRP , is the code which registered as pesticide TVCs

You have to feel bad for Louie! It’s clear his job is to be a look out and keep his fellow bugs alive! But no one ever listens to his warnings! Now I know that the ignorant overconfident bugs are dead! But you think it from how many times this has happened it would be a common thing for the bugs to be like: “We really should listen to Louie! All those bugs died because they ignored his warnings about Mortein! So if we ever go somewhere and Louie comes in yelling Look out! Stay away! It’s Mortein! We should listen and run away fast!”

The Brazilian ads have a brighter color scheme than the rest of the ads
Also why are the pellets in the Brazilian rat poison ad pink and not beige?
i think it has to do with the chemicals and materials they use for the Brazilian rat kill
not too sure why the brazillian ads are much brighter than the original ads, seems like they've been slightly reanimated too (probably to remove louie's cigar.)
I like how Louie tries to warn the other insects about the Mortein insect spray, but the insects don’t even care, they ignore him and get killed anyway.

If d-CON gets back into insecticides, Louie could be *their* mascot. Not only is d-CON also a Reckitt brand, but they use the same red arrow logo.

Would like some translations to the commercials in other languages, but pretty good compilation. Funny, if a trifle morbid.
With the exception of only one of the Shieldtox commercials, the majority of the international adverts have mostly poor audio quality, which presumably makes me unable to translate them. I'm working on that nonetheless, so don't rush me.

After seeing the commercial from 1986. I'd come to the conclusion that Louie revived and got a second chance at life. and now that he knew that the Humans were developed weapons of mass bug destruction, he decided to warn as many bugs as well as try to help any army avoid the dreaded pesticide, but alas, no bug can escape from the wrath of mortein
It's funny how Louie is only the smart one and never gotten near to the Morten products.

These Commercials look more like a John K. Cartoon!
arthur filloy, who worked on ren and stimpy as an animation director for some episodes actually helped with these commercials (i'm pretty sure he did the animation and character design,) so it has quite of a r&s vibe to it.
