- Few missionary names are as well known as that of David Livingstone. Dedicated to reaching Africa with the Gospel and opening up the interior. He was an ardent explorer who traversed more of Africa than many other people have to this day.

Not to mention Northern Ireland.
Too bad that no one has yet made a cinematic masterpiece on the the lives of other missionaries like, for example, Mary Slessor, Amy Carmichael, and the Judsons (Adoniram and Ann).
Slessor’s work as a missionary took her into the deepest depths of Nigeria 🇳🇬 where she learned that tribal witch doctors often killed mothers who bore twins because of ancient superstition among the tribes in question.
Then ofcourse we have Amy Carmichael who in her missionary work in India 🇮🇳 helped put a stop to the selling of children to temples that she thought of as being on the same level as a bordello.
Then we have the Judsons who were the first ones to bring the word of the Holy Scriptures to Burma 🇲🇲, which is now called Myanmar 🇲🇲.

From the Scottish woman Mary Slessor to Belfast’s legendary Amy Carmichael.
"So called"? I think I know who you are. People gave their lives to spread the word of God.
Trying to stop superstitions, slave trade, and sex trafficing.
And a whole lot more than what most of the history books have mentioned by far.
