@BS-dq1kz If you mix a wild and a domesticated animals, the offspring will always have some characteristics of the wild parent. Zebras in general are very aggressive and impulsive, they don’t show when they attack and if they do, they cause serious damage. The problem is that zorses often inherit this behavior and are therefore often misunderstood and abused. Most wild animals are also not happy if they are constantly being handled, it can be very stressful for them. Horses were bred to be the perfect companions and workers over millions of years after all, zebras not. It’s pretty much the same argument like why you shouldn’t keep wolfdogs. Not all of them have to be unhappy, but it’s really unnecessary to breed an animal that will be a risk to its surroundings and most likely not used to being kept in captivity.

Apparently he jumped a few fences and enclosures, got the deed done, then went right back to his stall like another happened. Then you should look up the quagga, this animal was a sorta cousin of the zebra and the African wild ass that was mostly brown and white but had zebra stripes. They went extinct about 100 years ago due to excess hunting, poaching and also capturing to put in zoos (even to ride horse carts since the quagga was much tamer then the zebra). The last known specimen died in the Amsterdam zoo I think in the 1930s
Zorses and zonkies are niche animals, mainly due to being zebra beiyextremely aggressive 99% of the time. This hold over into offspring. Out of 2-300 ive came in contact with only 3-4 were manageable for most people. They are for advanced owners only!!!

a “decoration” for a rich person is a lot better than the outcome most of these animals face at auction & random sales most of the time to be quite frank. going to auction or not finding a family that immediately wants you is basically a death sentence for an equine. straight to mexico or canada. anything where they have a safe roof & food under their head is 1000% preferable to the conditions in those pens. they beat the ever loving shit out of them, sell people & rescues horses with broken legs (a death sentence for a horse, they cannot recover from serious leg injuries like broken bones.), let horses get sick & practically waste away before they are shipped to the borders when no poor souls can rescue them. this is the reality for most of these wild/feral horses that are rounded up. they are sent straight to these hell pens & then when no one wants them or can buy them or afford them, off they go. never to be seen again. until they’re in your canadian big mac or your “lengua” tacos down there lol

But, i was under the impression, that horses are not native to the Americas, and have become invasive, causing harm to the natural balance of the ecosystem. Which I thought was why they are being captured. Again, I am not very knowledgeable on anything further than the whole native/invasive issues. I would be so incredibly grateful if anyone could please explain a little more as to why the BLM is evil. I am so happy to learn, and truly appreciate any response if someone chooses to respond.

There's a sanctuary near me that takes in half-wolves. They say the half wolves are more dangerous than the full wolves because they have the curiosity and playfulness of a dog that makes them come near you but they have intense prey drive and hunting instinct. They bolt when you open the gate and they shred you if you don't put something between you and them.

But, i was under the impression, that horses are not native to the Americas, and have become invasive, causing harm to the natural balance of the ecosystem. Which I thought was why they are being captured. Again, I am not very knowledgeable on anything further than the whole native/invasive issues. I would be so incredibly grateful if anyone could please explain a little more as to why the BLM is evil. I am so happy to learn, and truly appreciate any response if someone chooses to respond.

@@Thunderblock7889At least a mule is a cross between two domestic animals. When you cross a wild and domestic animal you get something extremely unpredictable. There's a sanctuary near me that takes in half-wolves. They say the half wolves are more dangerous than the full wolves because they have the curiosity and playfulness of a dog that makes them come near you but they have intense prey drive and hunting instinct. They bolt when you open the gate and they shred you if you don't put something between you and them.
