  • In this video "I Won a Bounty Builder with 6500 participants" i played the $27 Saturday KO tournament on Pokerstars. The KO or Bounty Builder format is very intense and involves a lot of ALL INS, Big pots and bounties. The tournament had 6500 participants which helped making the prize pool big. This is an old highlight - For those of you who wonder why I sit in a different place than usual.

      Are you not satelliting? If these sort of results aren’t freak occurrences then it will definitely benefit you to satellite into $215, $530 or $1050 comps. $1180 for winning a comp with 6.5K people feels a little like a kick in teeth. You want to make them wins pay 💰

    • @emdiar6588
      @emdiar6588 Pƙed 3 lety

      @@clintonmanning6433 Cheers. I think I'll have a go again. I used to do them but the frustration of battling for hours for a place, only to get coolered to death in the first 5 minutes of the target tourney, put me off a bit.
      I regularly make FTs and have a bunch of 1st placements, so not really freak occurrences, but as I said, I'm swimming in a pool of low stake fish.
      I'd love to move up though, so maybe satellites are worth another go.

    • @clintonmanning6433
      @clintonmanning6433 Pƙed 3 lety +1

      @@emdiar6588 They definitely are. $22 are not too dissimilar from $215’s. There’s a fraction of the field that can actually play better, the rest just simply have more money to burn so if you are half decent, brave and trust yourself, you should be placing in those comps. If you can win a comp with 2,500 people then you’re looking at least 75K. All of a sudden that’s career money. If you can play 500 satellites it’s gonna cost you a gross of $11K. If you can successfully satellite 1/5 (which is not too difficult) you’ll be registered for 100 $215 comps a year. If you place in 30% of them, final table 10% and win 1 you are financially smashing it. You win 2 and you can start ticking off your wish list. To think that that life is as close as winning 1 satellite for entry it’s a no brainer. You’ve just got to treat the satellite the same way as the $215.

      The reason why u cant really learn from playing with play money is cause the money has no value and makes people not care. While with real money there is a lot of weight to it. The game changes 100% because of it. For example with play money bluffs happen al the time while online with real money on the lower buy ins i havent seen bluffs happen often.
