Tat two is the only reason I sit through this video, because this video is quite outdated now. After Justice League bombed, DC and Warner Bros. realized what they were doing, and that it was impossible to catch up with Marvel's success. And so, they resorted to making standalone films with their own self-contained stories.

There's no "supposed to be." Batman and Joker are classic archetypes now, open to multiple interpretations. The modern Batman and Joker dynamic is only about 30 years old. If people were worried about being true to the intent, we wouldn't even have Cesar Romero's joker, let alone Heath Ledger.
43 years old (Joker's 5-Ways Revenge came out in 73' and it's considered as the return to his classical persona and the beginning to his obsession with the Bat) so it actually accounts for the majority of his existance. Also, there is a suppossed to be a ''supossed to be'' when it comes to the Joker.
Cesar Romero's Joker was previous to the return of the character to his darker roots, he and Addam West were both comic book acurate representations of their characters at the time.
Heath Ledger, for all the more realistic thraits he was given, was actually pretty loyal to the nature of the character, specially in his dynamic with Batman. He was insane, and for all his talk about not planning ahead, he was pretty methodical (even in that scene, if you pay atention, he's obstructing the percusion mecanism in Harvey's gun) and did it all just to prove a point similar to the one in The Killing Joke.
But this guy is just an Emo, edgy, gangster who can't live without Harley.
well they are all different so they weren't supposed to make him anyway but a new way that's was DC and marvel do just look deeper they make remakes that are supposed to look different better worse whatever DC is good at that marvel does the same story but changes the actor or like on spider man they made a different way for him to get bitten but anyway Jared's joker was supposed to have the whole harley quin part and he loves her and has more emotions because of her she taught him emotions love happy and more instead of hate anger etc so ya he isnt your old joker because he has a couple buffs and debuffs to his story

dude to me its not that people love marvel more the thing is that their latest movies are better than those other movies cus they were made with some kind of knowledge of the source material, I saw Jurassic world and loved it, also loved sw 7, and also loved civil war and dead pool, I loved cuz the movie told a story and used the characters in a good way, now with that in mind tell me, what was the character development that captain boomerang got in that movie, why did killer crock tell such terrible jokes???, in the end it shows that the movie was made in 6 months

Keep in mind this is the movie industry. DC's comics are still great and aren't just money grabbers, and if you think about it the DC movies aren't that bad. Look at all of the Dark Knight movies, they where all great movies. Look at all of their older movies like the 90's Batman movies, with the exception of one.
As we move on we are losing a lot of great actors, and directors. A big reason why Dawn of Justice was meh, was because it was so vague, and it was directed by Zach Snyder.
And the reason why suicide squad sucks so much ass was because David Ayer directed it, had nothing to do with DC. The directors are the ones fucking it up.
A lot of the DC Animated movies are pretty good too. They just can't quite nail live-action all the time.

Five years later and the highest grossing movie of all time in Spider-Man No Way Home
For a person that has never actually seen a Marvel or DC movie and has never been a big fan of superhero movies in general, I loved Suicide Squad. It wasn't part of a franchise where you have to see the last 20+ movies to understand it, I could understand Suicide Squad pretty well without knowing anything about the universe it's set in. And I've never really paid attention to ratings or critics because if I enjoyed it, I enjoyed it.

You know, I feel bad for Leto. I think the directors were mostly responsible for why he wasn’t the best Joker. If they let him be a version that stuck closer to a more classic version of the joker, he could of been a pretty decent interpretation. Because despite Jared not being the best Joker, he was pretty intimidating as him in some cases, not gonna lie. That’s just my opinion though.
So Justice League is guaranteed to be bad... But Wonder Woman looks like it actually might be pretty good.
