This was my build. The whole point, if you read what I wrote, is that you build up charges of perfect guard, get restoration x2 w a light attack and then go to town w ergo sum and take 50% less arc damage and have banner of war healing and extra sword damage at the same time.
Unfortunately your first mistake was submitting a strongholds build knowing his track record when it comes to using the damn exotic. I don’t get how he still doesn’t understand it. He’s gotta be doing it on purpose at this point🙄🙄🙄
I saw he didn't even read the description and it was clearly written. Fact remains from what I've noticed in every build battle is that people submit builds expecting him to play they way they designed it but unless it's something easy to understand/intuitive then it does badly. Also he clearly doesn't like just tanking (this build was good for that) as he said, specially when the other two teammates still didn't even kill one enemy after that he has been blocking for aged. Seems a series of bad factors put together

We need more sauce besides being able to punch in 5 different flavors... But with how things are going over at Bungie? Don't see that happening anytime soon sadly.
it's so frustrating to watch. Sutekk and Selfu solo GMs with strongholds but everytime Cross uses them he just stands there with perfect guard x100 doing nothing. Mans just need to kill one ad and hes got banner of war + resto x2 for like 20 seconds
@S-TierIguess tbf it wasn't a great build. The primary weapon needs to do better damage and I would've probably picked a LMG with killing tally and ran surge mods but it should not have been that bad. He either stands there guarding or spams heavy attacks till he runs out of ammo lol
@@nathanroyster1324 strongholds is really only great with lament czu you can block right after heavies unlike every other sword,ergo sum is basically the worst pairing for stronghold on strand because of ammo economy highly being dependent on transcendence.Using the same setup on prismatic also doesnt really do much since none of the aspects really synergize with swords unlike banner.Also didnt help that cross butchered whatever potential it had.

There’s honestly no point in using ergo sum without prismatic… you’re losing out on easy transcendence, massive damage increase, and then ammo from the catalyst.

Still remember putting on Strongholds as a joke to annoy my buddy. He said to me FFS if you're gunna use them, use them correctly! That was with Lament + Pre-Nerf Banner of War. Prismatic with the Arc Conductor Ergo I can only imagine how ridiculous that is! As mentioned Banner is almost certainly redundant with some of the Aspects, Fragments & Mods currently available. Need to get my arse in gear & get the Ergo Catty! Everything else is sat in my inventory haha.
@@ChainsawMcgrawl issue imo is that anything other than lament with strongholds feels so clunky because lament is the only sword that you can block right after using a heavy attack, so is a lot better for having the damage resist when you need it.
Don't use sword heavy attack out in open with stronghold, heavy depletes guard. And only time you would stand around is to res a teamate or cap an objective. This build is essentially a regular titan strand build with moving resist and extra restoration recovery. Cross just played build like a blueberry.

@@nathanroyster1324they did give it a pretty hefty nerf, I believe it was last season. It takes longer to proc, and I think the resto got nerfed as well. It's not as invincible as it used to be, but still the tankiest situation in the game I think.
The problem with running out of ammo is that you never rotate your weapons. Get a few kills with your heavy weapon, and you'll probably get special ammo in no time. This is especially true when you're running double special weapons. I've been running double special since the start of the Final Shape and I've never encountered this issue. Additionally, if you run out of special ammo in both your primary and secondary weapon slots, the game will automatically give you about 50% of your ammo reserve per weapon after a few seconds.
Build battle submission recommendations: 1. Does not use strongholds (Judge error/skill issue. Not the exotic's fault) 2. Must solo content. Teammates don't exist. 3. Damage > Utility. Always.
The problem with that Titan build is that without prismatic/Transcendent you can't be aggressive with ERGO SUM. I recommend Tcrash, caster arc conductor ergo, exotic class item with scars. Arc conductor kills grant resto. Multikills with it drops Orbs, which can restore health with mods. For the other exotic, the Eternal Warrior is okay, abeyant is my personal favorite and bear if you like unbreakable, which is alright. This is much better than swordbreaker exotic The loop is suspend with abeyant, arc conductor, now you have a lot of Transcendent energy, spam nades which do the same thing, suspend and jolt, get ammo, rinse and repeat. You can run the fragment that gives you cure on grenade kill too and run whatever grenade you want or use Shackle for more suspend.
Did nobody in chat tell Cross that you've gotta kill stuff for a bit with the *heavy* sword to get the special bricks to drop? It's extremely important to keep this in mind when running double special.
Many pointed out already, please attack when you have high stacks of perfect guard built up, also when guarding and drawing aggro, you can crouch so you don’t block your teammates’ shots…I think a better alternative would be using black talon (consider the insane number of void shielded enemies) with void siphon you’d be picking up orbs, healing, banner, plus woven mail, and you have better ranged attacks with black talon. I did Liminality GM with this build and it’s an incredible support build!
I used a sort of "Carry the Berries" build myself on the Witch Queen legendary campaign. It absolutely carries! I was un-killable the entire campaign until I got to the final Savathun fight where I personally had issues getting banner x4. If I switched off my sword shield to damage Savathun, and messed up the timing, while I had anything less than a banner x4, she'd one shot me. It carries, but as soon as you rotate weapons while less than banner x4, you're taking a RISK.

We finally get a Stronghold build and it's trash. You can't tank damage with Ergo Sum on GM difficulty. For whatever reason, you can only do it with a heavy sword. The correct play was using Falling Guillotine with tireless blade + Buried Bloodline + Blast Furnace.
The fact that whoever created the stronghold build had ergo sum on strand not prismatic is problem 1. It’s way harder to get ammo with that sword on anything but prismatic. Problem 2 is even in a GM setting, you have to play cover. I use a stronghold build on prismatic and it’s actually replaced my strand build. You build stacks then suck behind cover. Then peek, shoot off the caster arc conductor ergo, get the arc conductor buff and restoration x2, then you can start getting in the thick of it. Once you notice restoration is getting low, repeat the steps and go back to slaying. You treat it very much like the getaway artist build. For chonky things like champions, I like to just use the standard consecration plus knockout and just use all 3 hits on the champ. To be extra safe you can get restoration going first

I remember that stronghold build he did ages ago where cross would only attack and not stack up the perfect guard now he’s only stacking up the perfect guard and not attacking to get the resto (granted it’s probably tricky to keep track of while streaming)
I think the title is supposed to be the other way around. Instead of "Ergo Strand Titan vs Ergo Prismatic Hunter", you should've tilted it "Ergo Prismatic Hunter vs Ergo Strand Titan". This is because, you showcase the Prismatic hunter build in the video first, sooooooooo, it should be the first build mentioned in the title. I would greatly appreciate if you would change it.
Honestly thought that titan build was gonna perform a lot better, especially with a titan main using it. And titan is the least used subclass of mine. The hunter looks too fun, but I'd definitely not run double special, even with the ergo catalyst.

Prismatic Titan with Knockout/Consecration, Ergo Sum Arc Conductor/Wave Frame and Spirit of Assassin+Synthoceps. That cooks and is probably the best GM build in game right now. I hope someone submitted it already.
On one side of this "coin" it does suck to see bots going crazy. BUT, on the other side of this coin, that does mean Cross is actually growing in popularity cause this crap happens WAYYYY more on popular channels. A small price to pay for popularity honestly. YT ain't gonna do sh*t about it tho cause they suck at everything. 🙄
The hunter build was missing generating special ammo on finishers I think and the fragment to vreate an elemental effect on finishers instead of the facet of mending. Since the grenade is not mainly killing stuff and the prismatic one is being applied to minibosses I don't think that it's worth having a bit of heal over an aoe on every finisher that can make enemies volatile or slowed if the build user used a stasis super

That hunter build would've been way better if he just leaned into using Ergo Sum as the primary more properly. Ditch the second sword, ditch ascension, ditch the double special setup. Give that build some ammo efficiency and get rid of the redundancies to lean more into what you're already primarily doing. Then you'll have something special.
2 things. 1 that first hunter build was awesome but I feel that fragment that gave you cure was wasted. I saw it only proc maybe three times? I think in regular content it would cook since the prismatic nade will fuck up red bars. In gm though you could switch that out for a lot of things. 2 that Titan build was rough. I feel like the build didn’t know it’s identity when I make or use builds I like to think what is the purpose or design of this build. So it’s like using banner of war to bump damage and health but using strong hold to give defense? I think switching it out for synthoceps and leaning into the pure damage that way when you get kills you heal better .
no cross just doesn't know how to use them. You're supposed to build stacks of perfect guard (if you can get to 100 stacks, even better) go kill an ad to proc banner of war + resto x2 (24 seconds of resto x2 at 100 stacks) then use the rest of the build to get kills and keep stacking BOW. I dont know why the person who submitted the build didn't have him running the strand rocket sidearm to supplement damage and weapon surge mods. And a LMG with killing tally if you're going that route
The titan build would have been so much better if cross knew how strongholds swords worked. Brother didn't use it right once. Untill cross learns how to use strongholds my sleeper titan exotic remains a sleeper.
Although the arc conductor ergo is not that great for strongholds, the stronghold build rating was 80% a skill issue (not saying it would beat the hunter build but it is at least very good)
Tempest, a class item with Harmony, stormdancer's brace, that thing cooks with so many arc exotics. With stormdancer's brace, the super actually deals a shit ton of damage for once, and you get it back again super fast.

This isn't even close to the best Ergo Hunter build. Have you not heard of Radiant Dance Machines? Prismatic subclass, Super: Silence & Squall, Aspects: Stylish + Ascension, Fragments: Awakening + Dawn + Protection + Purpose + Ruin, Grenade: Grapple, Melee: Spike Ergo Sum: Aggressive (slam) + Insectoid Exotic: Radiant Dance Machines Mods: important ones are - reaper, orbs on void kill, seasonal sword mods, orb pick up on class ability (I forget the name). Combat loop: Grapple into a group, dodge. Now you have infinite Ascension. Use Ascension 2-3 times to kill mobs, use R2 attack with Ergo Sum to bring you down out of the air (as you'll be pretty high) and slam any tanky targets. Dodge (whilst on the ground to pick up orbs from all the void kills and re-proc reaper), take to the air again with Ascension. Rinse and repeat. Your Ascension kills count as sword kills so each kill spawns insectoids everywhere. Things not necessary but work well with the build: The Call in kinetic slot (to shoot tangles made), Silence and Squall allows you to proc Frost Armor on orb pickup from Facet of Purpose fragment. High mobility to get dodge back if RDM's perk runs out, high resilience. You can use any Ergo Sum but I found the Insectoid + Aggressive slam to be the best. I call this build, The ROFLcopter
Gotta be honest, yes Strand Titan has BoW, but using the Transcendence Sword on a class that doesn't have Transcendence is just icky. Not only are you giving up an 80% DMG boost, but you're also not utilizing the Catalyst for ammo. So many holes in this build honestly.
I just have to say it, the best ergo sum to be serious is perfect fifth on caster frame. Btw, any recent stronghold nerfs??? Because my boy looks... Massacred.

Yup. They still are cheeks. The only good snipers are all exotics such as whisper, still hunt (on hunter), and izanagis burden (but must be used with a damage rotation).
Well a critical anomaly with chill clip/Chaos reshaped is fire 🔥 2 shots to freeze almost everything, 3 to shatter but I freeze and shoot a dragons breath at them. It’s a fun build.

Ascension was there for amplified, because you can’t activate amplified on prismatic without a void ability or aspect. Amplified gives you damage resist with the artifact mod this season
Renewals is completely wasted on a build that spams transcendance. He threw what? 5 duskfields the whole GM? The build would probably thrive with something like Galanor, HOIL, maybe even Foetracer if it procs on ascension
At this point you should actually play other classes and knowledge tf up and not just get your information about other classes through videos of CZcamsrs who can’t build right let alone max their potential and utilize the class at all relying on the weapon damage alone. Get real dude. Actually use a Titan and do actual research and you’ll see survivability and and dps for end game is S Tier.

We finally get a Stronghold build and it's trash. You can't tank damage with Ergo Sum on GM difficulty. For whatever reason, you can only do it with a heavy sword. The correct play was using Falling Guillotine with tireless blade + Buried Bloodline + Blast Furnace.

The fact that whoever created the stronghold build had ergo sum on strand not prismatic is problem 1. It’s way harder to get ammo with that sword on anything but prismatic.
Problem 2 is even in a GM setting, you have to play cover. I use a stronghold build on prismatic and it’s actually replaced my strand build. You build stacks then suck behind cover. Then peek, shoot off the caster arc conductor ergo, get the arc conductor buff and restoration x2, then you can start getting in the thick of it. Once you notice restoration is getting low, repeat the steps and go back to slaying. You treat it very much like the getaway artist build.
For chonky things like champions, I like to just use the standard consecration plus knockout and just use all 3 hits on the champ. To be extra safe you can get restoration going first

I think the title is supposed to be the other way around. Instead of "Ergo Strand Titan vs Ergo Prismatic Hunter", you should've tilted it "Ergo Prismatic Hunter vs Ergo Strand Titan". This is because, you showcase the Prismatic hunter build in the video first, sooooooooo, it should be the first build mentioned in the title. I would greatly appreciate if you would change it.
Honestly thought that titan build was gonna perform a lot better, especially with a titan main using it. And titan is the least used subclass of mine. The hunter looks too fun, but I'd definitely not run double special, even with the ergo catalyst.

Prismatic Titan with syntho and consecration is the best gm build of all classes. Especially if you have the class item with syntho and assassins.

Prismatic Titan with Knockout/Consecration, Ergo Sum Arc Conductor/Wave Frame and Spirit of Assassin+Synthoceps. That cooks and is probably the best GM build in game right now. I hope someone submitted it already.
You use Ergo Sum to get transcendent fast. You have unlimited consecrations basically.

BUT, on the other side of this coin, that does mean Cross is actually growing in popularity cause this crap happens WAYYYY more on popular channels. A small price to pay for popularity honestly. The hunter build was missing generating special ammo on finishers I think and the fragment to vreate an elemental effect on finishers instead of the facet of mending. Since the grenade is not mainly killing stuff and the prismatic one is being applied to minibosses I don't think that it's worth having a bit of heal over an aoe on every finisher that can make enemies volatile or slowed if the build user used a stasis super
He needed scavenger and use special finisher if he really wanted pure strand ergo to work, that ammo regen on prismatic is too good

That hunter build would've been way better if he just leaned into using Ergo Sum as the primary more properly.
Ditch the second sword, ditch ascension, ditch the double special setup. Give that build some ammo efficiency and get rid of the redundancies to lean more into what you're already primarily doing.
Then you'll have something special.

2 things. 1 that first hunter build was awesome but I feel that fragment that gave you cure was wasted. I saw it only proc maybe three times? I think in regular content it would cook since the prismatic nade will fuck up red bars. In gm though you could switch that out for a lot of things. 2 that Titan build was rough. I feel like the build didn’t know it’s identity when I make or use builds I like to think what is the purpose or design of this build. So it’s like using banner of war to bump damage and health but using strong hold to give defense? I think switching it out for synthoceps and leaning into the pure damage that way when you get kills you heal better .
no cross just doesn't know how to use them. You're supposed to build stacks of perfect guard (if you can get to 100 stacks, even better) go kill an ad to proc banner of war + resto x2 (24 seconds of resto x2 at 100 stacks) then use the rest of the build to get kills and keep stacking BOW. I dont know why the person who submitted the build didn't have him running the strand rocket sidearm to supplement damage and weapon surge mods. And a LMG with killing tally if you're going that route

Untill cross learns how to use strongholds my sleeper titan exotic remains a sleeper.
Although the arc conductor ergo is not that great for strongholds, the stronghold build rating was 80% a skill issue
(not saying it would beat the hunter build but it is at least very good)

Tempest, a class item with Harmony, stormdancer's brace, that thing cooks with so many arc exotics. With stormdancer's brace, the super actually deals a shit ton of damage for once, and you get it back again super fast.

This isn't even close to the best Ergo Hunter build. Have you not heard of Radiant Dance Machines?
Prismatic subclass, Super: Silence & Squall, Aspects: Stylish + Ascension, Fragments: Awakening + Dawn + Protection + Purpose + Ruin, Grenade: Grapple, Melee: Spike
Ergo Sum: Aggressive (slam) + Insectoid
Exotic: Radiant Dance Machines
Mods: important ones are - reaper, orbs on void kill, seasonal sword mods, orb pick up on class ability (I forget the name).
Combat loop: Grapple into a group, dodge. Now you have infinite Ascension. Use Ascension 2-3 times to kill mobs, use R2 attack with Ergo Sum to bring you down out of the air (as you'll be pretty high) and slam any tanky targets. Dodge (whilst on the ground to pick up orbs from all the void kills and re-proc reaper), take to the air again with Ascension. Rinse and repeat. Your Ascension kills count as sword kills so each kill spawns insectoids everywhere.
Things not necessary but work well with the build: The Call in kinetic slot (to shoot tangles made), Silence and Squall allows you to proc Frost Armor on orb pickup from Facet of Purpose fragment. High mobility to get dodge back if RDM's perk runs out, high resilience.
You can use any Ergo Sum but I found the Insectoid + Aggressive slam to be the best.

Gotta be honest, yes Strand Titan has BoW, but using the Transcendence Sword on a class that doesn't have Transcendence is just icky.
Not only are you giving up an 80% DMG boost, but you're also not utilizing the Catalyst for ammo.
So many holes in this build honestly.
I just have to say it, the best ergo sum to be serious is perfect fifth on caster frame.

Not confirmed but I feel that blocking with Ergo Sum cannot tank as much as blocking with any heavy sword.

Yup. They still are cheeks. The only good snipers are all exotics such as whisper, still hunt (on hunter), and izanagis burden (but must be used with a damage rotation).
Well a critical anomaly with chill clip/Chaos reshaped is fire 🔥 2 shots to freeze almost everything, 3 to shatter but I freeze and shoot a dragons breath at them. It’s a fun build.

Ascension was there for amplified, because you can’t activate amplified on prismatic without a void ability or aspect. Amplified gives you damage resist with the artifact mod this season
It is absolutely terrible that strand titan super melee doesnt count as a melee for banner of war or any other "powered melee" effect

At this point titans should be in their own category competing for who has the worst build.
At this point you should actually play other classes and knowledge tf up and not just get your information about other classes through videos of CZcamsrs who can’t build right let alone max their potential and utilize the class at all relying on the weapon damage alone.
Get real dude. Actually use a Titan and do actual research and you’ll see survivability and and dps for end game is S Tier.
