- Captain Marvel just got a buff, returning to her glory days at 5 Power, which has made her the perfect threat for a Cerebro deck with 5 power cards.

Power Estimate: This deck had a great 12-4 run, which is a really strong 75% win rate. I wasn't expecting it to do so well, but a solid base of stats along with some reactionary plays and sneaky stuff helped it find a lot of wins. As always, more data is needed to see how it stands up against the meta, but Captain Marvel might be a solid card once again at 5 Power.

Here's an interesting line for 23:50. If you play Medusa mid to move Silk, you always win against their play. You're giving up mid, so reduce its power and give it to any other lane. If Silk goes left, then you get enough power for Marvel to win right. If Silk goes right, then you win. If you think about their finishers, they might have Onslaught, Blue Marvel, and Ultron. You always lose to Ultron, but this line always beats the other two.
Just came to comment this. I swear Regis' plays are so triggering... also watching him try to do mental math can be triggering...

@@micahlarimer155 We also have the benefit of knowing what they'll play and doing math with that hindsight. Regis is playing in real time, and with a timer the brain thinks differently under pressure and obviously no hindsight
For anyone wondering, I actually found Cere3 still more viable on the current ladder. Running Bast / Goose / Brood / Storm / Juggernaut / Sentinel / Jeff / Cerebro / Prof X / Valkyrie / Shang Chi / Killmonger. Really fun & strong list, basically a disruption with Cerebro as a power spike. Much better than other Cere 3 lists I've seen floating around, IMO.

Crazy thing about the enchantress knull game is, u would have still won even if the knull went off it was only 24. This deck has some crazy power output.

C5 is legit again , I have the same deck with lizard cage and ravonna, iron man, mystique but doom and omega are such awesome options with the possibility of marvel flying around
I am an absolute Cerebro junkie. (So much to the point where I am playing a C7 deck for funsies.) My C5 build leans heavy on the newly buffed 1-drops and Black Swan, plus Supergiant for tech. Plus, even if you don't draw Black Swan, they're still cheap as hell.
I've been playing a slightly modified version of this for a while now and it's a lot of fun.

Missing Silk and Dr Doom though, so time for me to think of replacements
You can replace silk with lizard and doom with sera
Storm, Rocket Raccoon, Luke Cage are a few great ones!
replace them with 5 power cards to add to cerebro effect of 5 +2
I like the first game. The fact that u were able to see that u win no matter what because silk and marvel is just so good in the same lane. Idk if its really good but this makes me kinda happy if i dont get war machine and get silk instead
I love how many decks you can make with cerebro it's a super flexible card.
Cerebro is one of my favorite archetypes. I'm such a geek for it that I have a C7 build I'm playing for funsies.
c3 will forever be my favorite deck of all time. i miss luke being a 2/3 😢

I was playing a different C5 deck earlier, and had a similar run. I used Supergiant to hide the cerebro play.
Been doing a black swan/ravonna version! with ravonna out, you could supergiant on 4 and cerebro/mystique/martyr turn 5 for surprise burst
I mean this deck just wins...like all the time. Even when I thought I was done for it pulled out a win (thanks carol!)

Unfortunately, after climbing to 83, I lost 3 games in a row to Alioth.
Decided Snap is best enjoyed watching Regis instead, so promptly uninstalled again lol

i thought about the play at 30:18, you lose if they use cannonball although they got the dream prof x with no opponent cards in lane (well dream for cannonball)
good games though, i wonder if war machine would let silk that's already in play, swing into a prof x lane or if captain marvel can do it by default

Psylocke was definitely a questionable leaning towards bad decision to nerf Thanos.
imho they wanted to nerf the psylocke into prof x line and make it easier to contest lanes against that in tourn 4.
I actually cant say "i miss her" as she wasnt there outside of thanos anyways (i guess if u want u can count c2 but thats a far strecht) ;-P

Pretty sure you did the math with the game vs Wong/Panther/Arnim game but here's my math. You play Omega Red middle and Cerebro left which moves Silk middle giving you 28 to 26 (though they could drop a 1 drop breaking this). Right would reach 28 vs 24 and Omega would bump it to 32 (I think he's +4. If +3, then 31) and there's nothing they can play with Arnum to win left, your weakest lane. They could also have Odin, but that would be an even lower power play.

Was psylocke ever played in any other decks beside Thanos? I feel like Thanos lists are all I ever see her in anyway, so I don't really mind that the nerf limits her potential in other decks that wouldn't run her anyway.
Mr. Negative sometimes played her as a way to maybe get negative down on 3, but now its usually zabu+ravonna instead of Zabu+psylocke
I use her in High Evo
Early Cyclops going off, Securing a extra Hulk energy in turn 6 or getting him out early for Skaar, Free She Hulk and Sunspot
A few cards that also work well in this package are; Rocket Raccoon, Luke Cage, Shadowking, Storm, Lizard.
Storm + Rocket and Cage + Lizard are a couple of nice pairings.

Mystique is bad in Cere 5. She works in Cere 3 because of Ravonna, Valkyrie, and Bast. In other Cere decks she is too clunky and situational.

Jesus...I just realized Cebrebro is a helmet...like I knew it was but the card itself I've never seen enlarged, I thought it was some orb with cords coming out of it...xD
If it makes you feel better, the version in the thumbnail isn't from Snap. The Snap one has really weird angles from like sitting on a table. It doesn't look like a helmet at all.

Adam warlock being 5 power is the main problem with the card since you're spending 5 power for a chance to draw 1 -2 cards extra. In my opinion, making it a 3-2 would be much better

Cerebro decks are so luck base because there are many locations that buffs or debuffs cards
This deck got me to infinite I replaced zabu with Shadow King best defense against Black Panther and destroy and enchantress won me so many games

17:21 Thats interesting I always thought C3 was the best Cerebro deck followed by C5 and the others are just garbage only C3 and C5 are competitive. To be fair if you remove Bast and Valkyrie from C3 it also becomes garbage so I see your point

Luke Cage is always a solid choice in Cere decks. Lowers overall power a bit but covers up a LOT of counters

I’ve been running C5 since I’ve hit infinite and the captain marvel buff has made a significant improvement.
Yup. I already found C5 better than C3. I also think Regis is sleeping on/forgot Rocket Racoon and I ALWAYS run Storm in Cerebro decks. Depending on meta I often run Luke Cage, too.
So, does anyone know why this Cerebro deck doesn't run Mystique? Are the 5s you can use just more valuable, is it just awkward to weave her in, any ideas?
It's awkward, too much of a dream scenario. You not only need to find both cards, you then need to play them in a particular order while adding 0 power to two different spots. She is a bit of bait, unfortunately. Works much better in Cere 3 since Bast can buff her and you have Ravonna.
You CAN run her but then you also need to run Ravonna.

Adam warlock is more worse than morph,The cost is too high and the ability is garbage for a 5 cost card
if cerebro 5 doesn't want him, adam warlock won't be wanted by anyone. Turn 5 is, I think fundamentally, just too late in the game for a card that's only purpose is to draw more.
Pshylock change is actually a buff in negative deck, i mean with ravona it's 1/1.

Feel like a Blue Marvel is a good addition to this deck for curve.
I agree and disagree with the psylocke take, but mostly because I think you just don't play her in any other deck anymore so it really was only a nerf to the thanos deck... that said... it is a bummer that psylocke has just been power creeped out of the game. In basically every use case in other decks you'd rather just have one of the several other cost reducing or mana adding cards over psylocke. I guess the real casualty there is new players that do not have the zabus, hopes, ravonas, etc.

With Ant Man we control him getting to 5. With Rocket Raccoon we can't always control him getting to 5.
This deck is cool but the version with black swan, rocket racoon, titania and matyr is better imo.
