@@Cleopatrlck Legendaries are all the mons that are obtainable in base game and have unique encounters, can’t be bred and are generally iconic, eg box legends like Dialga or legendary triples like the birds. Mythical refers exclusively to Pokémon only obtainable through Game Freak events, so Arceus with the Azure Flute or Victini and the Liberty Pass

My theory is that Meltan and Melmetal are part of a different region close to Galar. In its Pokédex entry for the G-Max form it says that it was affected by Dynamax Energy in a distant land and, since it feeds on metal, I theorized that it could be a Scandinavian Region, since they are the closes places to the UK with large iron ore reserves. I went into it a lot deeper, but this is the core of it! It hurts me that they gave nothing to this Pokémon, and while I know that it is basically cross-game promotional material at this point, I would love to have some backstory to it. Maybe a Pokémon Legends: Melmetal will show us that one day!
Yeah, I was hoping Let’s Go would give us a little more of its story, but I think if we had gotten more spin off around the time, we might have seen it there.

Niantic doesn't manage the rest of the Pokemon game franchise. It's just Pokemon go (last I checked). Pretty sure gamefreak just manage the rest of the franchise.

Hey, did you know that in terms of male human and female Pokémon breeding, Vaporeon is actually not the most compatible Pokémon for humans? This is a common and understandable misconception, however Vaporeon has it's human on Pokémon breedability outclassed by it's cousin evolution, Umbreon. Umbreon weights approximately 60 pounds, or around 27 kilograms, and is 3'3" tall (About a meter), making it not only large enough to appropriately handle human genitalia, but also light enough to easily be lifted, and promptly set back down repeatedly. It's relatively small size would also prove a tight entry, which is always a good thing. Umbreon also boasts an extremely impressive defensive stat spread. With it's combination of very high HP, Defense, and Special Defense stats, it can take a great pounding and come back for more! It's ability, Inner Focus, allows it to keep slamming attentively, without getting fatigued. Umbreon also has access to the ability Synchronize, which allows it to share it's current status with you, meaning you will receive all of the pleasure it feels COMBINED with all the pleasure you're getting from pounding this perfect breedable Pokémon. Umbreon also has the capability of seeing perfectly in pitch-black darkness, allowing it to effectively attend a midnight fornication session. Even if you do manage to drain Umbreon's energy with all the furious thrusts, it can recover very quickly with its access to the move Moonlight. Its black fur is also a giant positive attribute, allowing all the excretions you make to be easily seen all over its body. A great fun fact, Umbreon can excrete toxins in its sweat, which would in turn soak into your member and swell it up, making it even more sizable and sensitive. This would not only enhance the experience for you, but for your Umbreon as well (Which with Synchronize, ends up pleasing you exponentially more). Umbreon's wide movepool also supports the hypothesis that Umbreon is the best Pokémon to breed with. It can learn Payback, which doubles in power after the Pokémon is hit, meaning Umbreon with throw it back twice as hard as normally if you're hitting it good. Umbreon can also learn Guard Swap; it could give YOU its insane durability, and go crazy on you all night with your now massive endurance. Speaking of endurance, Umbreon also has access to Endure, making it practically immune to fatigue, it will always have energy left over. Charm is also within Umbreon's movepool, letting it be extremely seductive towards you, easily getting you in the mood. Umbreon can also use Taunt, in turn making you ONLY able to to attacking moves such as Slam, Pound, etc; none of that foreplay shit, right into the action. It also has access to Sleep Talk, giving it the ability to not only give consent in its sleep, allowing access to any of its ports and any time, but also move in it's sleep, making it an effective 24/7 fuckmate. Umbreon still has even more great moves that good to have while smashing, such as Quick Attack, allowing swift slams and bounces, which can have even greater power if Umbreon uses Curse beforehand. Curse would also raise Umbreon's defense, making it able to take powerful thrusting for almost any duration. Looking back, Umbreon's slightly small size ensures a gorilla grip cavity and easy physical manipulation. Its ungodly bulk allows it to take poundings for hours on end and resume after recovering with moonlight (Which works even better when it's sunny). It's access to the abilities Inner Focus and Synchronize allow it to unwaveringly throw it back and add all of its pleasure onto yours, effectively making it twice as amazing as any other Pokémon, or even FOUR TIMES, factoring in the doubled power of payback of course. All of this information in combination with its extremely useful movepool in the world of intercourse makes Umbreon the Pokémon most qualified to breed with humans; able to take dick of any shape, any size, in any position easily for extensive periods of time, while having the ability to return for even more mere seconds later.
Gigantamax Melmetal is literally the Iron Giant on drugs and I love every bit of it 😂

I think meltan and melmetal being hard to aquire actually makes them feel like mythical Pokemon. Yea it's tedious but it's better than just having one given to you like it's nothing as is done in every game since gen 5 I think it was?
Yep. It's kinda ridiculous how easily "rare" Pokémon are to obtain nowdays. But I guess that wasn't avoidable, since internet is a thing.
It’s too much though. Pokémon is a video game. It shouldn’t take months to obtain one creature. Especially when it’s not that good.

I knew Melmetal started it's existence in Pokemon Go, but I certainly thought that it's lore & story came from the anime, therefore it was an anime pokemon.
Even though we learned nothing about it in the anime. They just appear out of nowhere for seemingly no reason.
A lot of legendary and mythical Pokémon have their lore explained in the anime and some of them even appear in the anime before the games release.

i have a feeling that meltans new evolution method will involve reaching X level while having 6 meltan in your party (melmetal is the combination of 100 meltan and this is reflected in the candy cost too, 3 candies for catching each one and 1 for transfering. even its weight is 100x the ammount of meltan). the meltan would be used up in this evolution but it also makes sense for meltan to be obtainable in the wild like keldeo in sword and shield. who knows we might get other ways to obtain mythicals in the wild in gen 9
Melmetal will be kinda like a reverse nincada, squishing 6 pokemon into 1 instead of splitting 1 pokemon into 2

I actually caught a few of these when they were accidentally showing up early. I had been Pokémon hunting with my family at the mall. I think it’s so cool I caught some while it was happening, even if I’ve got nothing to show for it

The rom hack Radical Red (and technically Unbound if you trade Meltan over from Radical Red) went with "use/trade with a Metal Coat", similar to the treatment Onix and Scyther get.
I actually traded one over from Radical Red to use in Unbound's New Game +, and it's a load of fun to wreck the bosses that normally would give me trouble.
Why can you trade Pokemon between Radical Red and Unbound? Shouldn't they be incompatible?
@@robertlupa8273 They're both made with the Complete Fire Red Upgrade, so they both have the same trading code, I think.
To avoid weird bugs, I wouldn't put any Gen 8 mons in your Radical Red party. The item indexes are also different, so held items may need to be removed too. I'd savestate before the trade on both versions too, just in case.

Theory crafting names for the future evolution item... Dense Mercury Core, Quicksilver Candy, Variable Ingot, Alchemist's Ore, Silvernut Snack, Gilded Hexnut, Mysterious Amalgam and finally Hydrargyrum Essence.
Melmetal or meltan was the absolute bane of my existence before Nintendo gave away the G-mac melmetal. I never used all the candies to evolve it i gave up. But at the end, in a sick twisted way he became one of my favorites. He actually carried me when i finally got him. I like him being chonky and The gigachad he is with the G-max form. I am hoping to catch a shiny some day.

You can actually also obtain this through Pokemon Home - you don't need to have a Switch to obtain Meltan. You can catch and train a Melmetal in Go and put it in Pokemon home until you want to transfer it to your game. You also get a Melmetal capable of Dynamax if you link your Pokemon Go account, I think. Also, before the recent spawn rate change on incense (which the Mystery Box also is) you could spawn quite a lot of Meltan every time you open the box. They would spawn around 50-60 per box opening, and catching a Meltan and transferring it gives you 4 candies. So if you have the supplies and the spawn increase on the mystery box, 400 candy isn't as high a barrier as you might think. You can also increase the candy per Meltan to 7 using a pinap berry, or 8 using a silver pinap berry, which makes it a bit more manageable.
So, I guess, non-US and non-New Zealand players, this is the time if you want to flex on your friends by having a Melmetal.

Well since it's the only Pokemon that has two canonically fuels with More of itself I feel like in a mainline pokémon game you could catch melted in the wild anywhere and would just have to battle a certain amount of them for it to evolve

I think Meltan will have a candy-based evo in main line games. You may need to get Meltan candy by walking around with Meltan and completing battles. You’ll probably need like 15-ish.
