What does a "win" look like?
There are times when we accomplish our goals...and then we still feel that there ought to be something more. There are times when "winning" is just as empty as "losing". In those moments, we have the opportunity to step back and ask what we are shooting for. These are the moments we can ask "what does a 'win' look like?"

Thank you, Fr Mike, for letting me re-think what my greatest win should be - that is, while alive, to see my husband and children, family friends and relatives (and everyone), be convicted, converted and committed to be faithful followers of the Catholic Faith; and when I die, to see us all together in heaven with God. This I pray ... Amen.

To look back and say Thank you, Jesus, for letting me get into Georgetown Medical School, for my wife and children who lived with my long hours, but especially looking forward to "Nothing but you, Lord" future that compares little to the past.

I delivered a devotional message this last Tuesday morning as our private Christian school met to kick off the staff and faculty's school year. I spoke about how vulnerable we are after a big victory or just before embarking on a significant task. I have struggled this week, after that small but meaningful experience. And I struggle to find ways in which the Lord wants to speak to me, to love me, and to give me a meaningful win in my own depression. And you, Fr. Mike, give this homily using the vulnerability story, the word "win," and have spoken to me, a Protestant who is continually discerning both the unity of the whole church and the possibility God would call me to the Catholic expression of our faith. What a meaningful word that I receive as from the Lord. Grateful again for you and Ascension. And, blessed by the Lord's words to me.

There are other phenomenal athletes in other sports that have fewer medal opportunities each Olympics so they cannot do anything close to him in the medal count simply because they don’t have as many opportunities to medal. Jesus will point us to God’s glory forever:
In JOhn 10:38, Jesus said “though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that *_the Father is in me, and I in him.”_* It is the Lord God that possesses Jesus. In Proverbs 8:22-36, it is Jesus who speaks of how he was “brought forth,” which comes from the word _poeisis_ in Greek meaning “to bring forth into existence.” In John 10:32, Jesus said, “many good works have I shewed you *_from my Father.”_* In John 16:25-27 Jesus said, he will *show us plainly of the Father* to those who believe he came out from God [God’s foreknowledge]. In John 14:10, only God’s power and spirit within Jesus does all things. In Matthew 12:28, Jesus said he cast out demons by God’s spirit, not of his own spirit. In John 7:16-18, Jesus professes that none of his teachings are of himself. In John 8:28, Jesus states that he only does what the Father has taught him. Jesus is the way, truth, and life that leads to the one true God, his Father and OUR Father. Amen.

I saw and article - Are You Truly A Roman Catholic, by Catholic Journey - The Parable of the Rich Man is being preached to Roman Catholics year after year stressing the statement Jesus Christ said to a Non Roman Catholic, " The Rich Man to go an give away all he has in order to obtain heaven". Your homily backs it when you men Jim Carry's wish.
My statement to all Roman Catholic, father and mother how honorable will one be to his/her children if he or she would give away everything he/she own at the same time being a father and mother? Did God Our Father model such for us? No. Our Father in heaven did not give up his heaven, his throne, his Title as God to the devil or even to Man, to-date. This why it is fun-loving to hear Roman Catholic Father who is not A Roman Emperor Father being so efficiently scribed makes such lighted statement - I am a Christian instead of staying I am a Roman Catholic, who God Our Father adopted and giver to His adopted children Roman Catholics. At Baptism, we obtain the Title Roman Catholic so why now we mature in body some Roman Catholic wants us to be like the devil? With manners to all Christians, I am not a Christian. Thank you Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy. Sorry for some Roman Catholics who wanna be christian but I am glad to be a adopted by Our Father in heaven who makes me His child, a Roman Catholic. What is my name, Alpha- Roman, Omega- Catholic. Alpha- Jesus, Omega- Christ. No, No, not Jesus Christian. Therefore, a sinner, a Roman Catholic, is not Alpha- Anti, Omega- Christ. Know your today for tomorrow might be too late Roman Catholis. Amen. 19:20
