I had GI JOES as a kid and have never forgotten about them. My parents bought me the Space Capsule and many figures along with the uniforms and actions packs. I always wanted more but my parents did their best to make sure I had at least a few. I'll never forget that🤙

I'm 38 a d just started collecting WW2 1/6 figures. Never too old were all just big kids that love our toys.
Brother I'm 55 I still collect 1,16 g I joe figures and vehicles, Ultimate soldier n more I customize and make my own stuff, cool video.

My 1/6 collection is great therapy for me. I have my vintage Gi Joes that I don't dare touch but I do like some of the newer more detailed and more articulated figures.

This looks more like an MD500 painted in Vietnam Colors rather than a Vietnam Era OH-6A, with the tail, rotor blades, external vertical antenna, landing skids, etc. but still looks really nice regardless.
You arent wrong. When 21st century toys made these little 1/6 helos, they based them on the post war little bird. they came out with a black versions with mini guns and side rocket pods, a police and fire version, and the Vietnam Mis Claud IV variant. but never corrected the obvious issues.

currently working on a stop motion video with 1/6 scale figures with Russian army and Chinese army
that would be pretty cool to see. Stop motion takes a lot of work for sure. i dabbled in it years ago. and think i still have a small clip i made somewhere in all of my footage.

I havnt purchased much in the way of 1/6 lately. i think im slightly hindered on what i once had, and the idea of trying to regain things that cant. but ive got some neat made by me items coming soon in the 1/6 scale world. i figure its best to take a new path. and no longer bother myself with the lost world. lol... but, hell yeah man. thats great! I will say this, id like to get some of the collector items i lost back. 1 i know i cant. it was the Rah figure from platoon signed by the actor. still in the box. (he has passed) but i would like to get the Roy figure from Hasbro. and a few other nam related sets. Anyway, getting old is a mindset, its one thing to be an adult. ts another to love and hold on to young passions, loves, and interests! stick with it bro, keeping our young years alive, is what keeps us up and moving!
