Raised some baby coyotes as a kid. Bottle fed them. Their mom was killed. They were crazy, mean little critters and wd chew up the bottle nipples and eat until their stomachs were abt to pop! Very active and they fought with each other all the time. They were all okay and turned loose. I kept one, Daisy. She took off into the pasture one night when the coyotes were howling and only came back once to say hello from a distance. They do not domesticate well but are beautiful and very smart.
That coyote is clearly not looking at you, but what's behind you. So surprisingly it seems Kevin is the real hero here.

I have almost two acres of land smack dab in the middle of my city. (My granddad bought the property in 1948, and built the house. He never sub-divided and sold some land off like all the neighbors did.)
It was not fenced when I moved in in ‘98. Approximately one acre was wooded/overgrown.
I had all kinds of wildlife until I cleared it a few years later. Animals would come up into my non-wooded backyard and near the house. I saw a coyote, rabbits, turtles, and later, a fox. The fox was outside my window one night making a god-awful noise. Scared the crap out of me until I looked out and saw what it was! Lol
I felt bad clearing the land with all the wildlife, because they didn’t have any other place to go. It’s just a huge lot in a regular neighborhood.
But some neighbor complained about it, so the city made me clear it.
Our green spaces are getting destroyed left & right, and they couldn’t leave my little acre of woods alone. Now it’s just a big empty field of grass that I have to keep mowed.
