我係用FJ Cruiser 拖 R-Pod 192。上山都OK，只係要慢啲,但唔需要過4千 RPM 或redline.
Tacoma普通上山坡都唔係問題㗎，只係嗰次上唔記得係15%定20%坡嘅山，地板油上咗5-10分鐘先體驗到咩叫極限🤣

Heavy duty pickup truck 美國車可能有個advantage, 傳統上美國heavy duty pickup 用者多數係農場, 戶外生活同喜歡拖trailer 旅行嘅人....早期日本pickup 係俾人扮嘢用....不過而家一定改好咗喇😂😂😂

i used to have a F150 heavy duty, it does its job but reliability sucks. By the time it reach 160k, rear seals leaks, and can barely get up Stony Trail (Southbound going up Beacon Hill). Also, american truck overrated their towing capacity, the way they rate their towing capacity is based on half tank gas, 0 passenger while Toyota tested it with real world facts like having passengers, loaded up the truck bed and full tank of gas.
I was looking for 3/4 ton chevy but ended up with a 2nd gen Tundra towing my 28' trailer, my truck is 210k and it's going strong. Only thing i don't like is the small gas tank, glad to hear the new Tundra has a bigger gas tank than the older ones.
Also watch out for trailer weight, what RV dealer posted is dry weight (not including water, luggage, batteries, propane tank), by the time you added all these, the posted weight of 3000 become 4000.
My 2 cents and 15 years of trailer towing experience.
TBH all companies overrate their towing capacity. I've been towing trailers, boats, etc... for many years. A good rule of thumb for safety and comfortable towing is your towing weight should not be over 60% of your truck towing capacity.
We love watching your channel. However, you are providing wrong information on how to safely tow a trailer. All you mention was towing capacity. You failed to mentioned the most important thing. The payload of your truck and tongue weight of your trailer. This greatly affects your ability to tow. Weight distribution hitch and anti-sway bars are also something you can add. Please research payloads and learn about it before producing another video on towing a trailer.
When it comes to towing safely, there are many many factors involved. We are in no way professionals and so are the vast majority of our viewers. Going too technical could be very intimidating for people who are interested in getting into the RV world. Our videos have always been providing intro to the topics, if interested, viewers have to do their own research.
We do have stabilizing hitch and plan our weight distribution, we just don’t want this video to be too long and deep. Speaking of payload, our model is a travel trailer so towing capacity is more important. If you’re towing a fifth-wheel when the unit is directly adding weight onto the truck bed, certainly payload is a huge factor to consider. We do our research based on our rig and experience, we can’t possibly do research for all trailer and vehicle styles.
Agreed!! I don't think anyone will take your videos as professional advice. We (retired HK couple moved to US 20+ years ago) bought our 16x 7.5 ft enclosed trailer in 2019. In about one year time, we converted it to a travel trailer with full bath/kitchen, grey/black/fresh water tanks, Electric water heater, 500W solar and a DIY 280AH LiFePO4 battery. We were lucky that we had a TUNDRA TRP PRO day one and been towing the trailer just fine. Since then, we have been traveling with it with countless memorial moments in yellow stone, Rockies/Jasper/Banff, PEI, Alcan Highway and Alaska. Canada has much better national park system than anything similar in US. Maybe due to the same reason, US's private campgrounds are relatively better in general than those in Canada. To really experience the beauties of both countries, RV is perfect and sometime a must-have!! Thanks for your sharing and most lovely is listening to those familiar topics in HK Cantonese. @@9al9al i echo what you said about Tundra, too bad they don't make V8 anymore. My retirement plan is to travel across North America (US and Canada) .. glad you did all the upgrade to your trailer and modified it. @HK-er_in_Canada, welcome to Calgary and just stumbled on your video and love them, espeically it's in my native language Cantonese.
