You did an amazing job here. This girl must be so happy! I had a tubular breast deformity too, so I know what it is to wake up from surgery with a new beautiful breast when you had awful breast your whole life.
I am crying watching this video. I need this correction so badly, but I cannot get it done due to me being in college; I cannot afford it. It hurts because I have lived with this burden since puberty. It's affected my confidence so much that I can't keep a relationship. I'm 27 and my longest relationship has been 4 months. I stopped having sex because men want to see my breasts and they get turned off when i keep my bra on. I have lived my youth in misery and I'm sick of feeling ugly when I look in the mirror
I feel your pain, but atleast you've had sexual partners, I've never allowed myself even that as I'm so ashamed of how my breasts look. But then again I have an ugly face too so I'm fully unlovable!
I cried watching this video because I think she was fine before, and I thought about how sad it is to hate your body so much that you'd put your body through such a major trauma like that on purpose. Sometimes I can see why people would want a major surgery, but in this case, I don't think the damage done and the potential complications is justified. I also cried because they called this a deformity. I've seen a lot of natural boobs and hers don't make me do a double take and think wtf is that? That all said, I get being insecure about stuff and I know nothing I say can change your minds except maybe watching botched and doing all the research on complications. Also, I will tell you that if you do get the surgery someday, the low self esteem might remain. My skin was bad enough that I went on Accutane twice and even after my skin cleared, the feeling to hide did not go away for like 20 years.
I promise you hun...you don't need any surgery to feel good about yourself. I have tubular breasts too and I've tried everything but surgery to get it fixed. I tried Noogleberry breasts pumps, Tonics and elixirs to mimic a "second" puberty, Maca Root , massages, gaining weight you name it, I did it to get them fixed. The problem is simply that. The idea of getting fixed because my breasts don't look like someone else's. I did exactly what you did. Wore bras during intimate moments because I couldn't stand myself. But men pick up on insecurities and it takes the fun out of the experience. It took my aunt getting breast cancer for me to realise that life is too short to hate myself. Stop. Hating. Yourself. Please honor your body and what it does for you on a daily basis. Exercise, eat right and love on you. I never got into a healthy relationship until I was 31 and I strongly believe it was due to my limited self belief. I assure you this negative self image spills over to the other facets of your life and it's doesn't serve you at all. It's all mental. When you love you I promise you other ppl don't even notice our "flaws". I am happy and I wouldn't change my snoopy breasts for anything. If you want to talk about it further, I'm available via email. intrepidnubian@gmail.com Peace and love.
I got my surgery April 13. My surgeon ( in Virginia) did not correct the cone like shape so from the side it still looks the same. It was like he just shoved some implants in there and called it a day. I brought up the concern to him and he said “no one will really notice” “don’t they look so much better” “that’s just how you’re built”. I wasted the only money I have saved to fix the problem. For so many years I’ve hated my body and I’m still in the same position. I wish I found this video sooner. Great work dr!
It's a good idea to find a surgeon who knows about this issue and has experience working with tuberous breasts. Luckily I found a doctor near me in Portland who metions tuberous breasts on their website. But this other place that doesn't mention them, all they said they would do is put an implant it, which would not be enough for me. I'm hoping I can get this specific procedure done but it seems like no doctors know about it other than a select few 😭
Some people say tuberous breasts are simply another shape and although I sort of agree it is difficult to accept not getting surgery because it is physically uncomfortable because skin is always touching skin and in the heat of the summer it's very frustrating. Also, bra shopping can be a nightmare because bras will never properly fit, I have one tuberous on my right side and although I don't think it's a big deal looks wise, it's sure annoying. I exclusively wear sports bras and avoid low cut tops
tuberous breasts are not simply small or underdeveloped breasts. The appearance of the breast can range from mild to severe, and typical traits include: enlarged, puffy areola, rather wide spacing between the breasts, very little breast tissue, sagging, higher than normal inferior breast fold, and narrow base at the chest wall. The type of surgery best for you will depend on the severity of your condition. My preferred technique for tuberous breast correction involves a multistep procedure where the breast tissue is released in a radial pattern to prevent herniation into the areola and placement of a custom implant size is in the breast to allow appropriate expansion of the breast in the restricted dimensions. This can often be done in a single procedure but sometimes may require two surgeries. That said, it is best that you visit a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in person examination. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

tuberous breasts can rarely be corrected without implants or at least a small one. The breast needs to be scored radially from the inside to expand it. If you don't place an implant behind the radial scoring it will fall back to its original state. You could theoretically remove the implant at a later day and graft with fat but that would be a separate surgery.

I had the same thing and I wouldn't let my husband look at me topless. It really affected me for as long as I can remember. I finally got implants Oct.2018 and its truly changed my life. I feel like a normal woman now. I feel happy in my body for the first time ever. If it really affects you I'd truly look into finding a surgeon. Cost wise ... mine were alittle over $8k but if theres a will theres a way. There's a bunch of different routes to get financial help for the surgery.

I almost always place implants submuscular. It lowers the rate of capsular contracture significantly. In addition, it looks much more natural because the muscle provides covering over the implant so its not as round on the top. I've also noticed the implants drop less over time when they are protected under the muscle.

every breast surgery has a risk of possible breastfeeding issues later in life. There is no surgeon or technique that will guarantee you 100% that there will be no issues. However, with a meticulous surgical technique and attention to details that risk can be significantly reduced
Speaking from experience as someone with breasts like this woman’s originals, it can be very difficult to breastfeed as is. Not always, but having breasts like this can be an indicator for igt. I lack the glandular tissue to make enough milk for my babies. I’m almost due with my third and once I’m done breastfeeding what I can with him, I’m getting implants.

Can the shape of tuberous breasts be corrected without implants nor fat transfer?
Over or under the muscle ?
I almost always place implants submuscular. It lowers the rate of capsular contracture significantly. In addition, it looks much more natural because the muscle provides covering over the implant so its not as round on the top. I've also noticed the implants drop less over time when they are protected under the muscle.
How much would 300CC silicon implants cost and do you take patients from overseas? Great work btw!

I have read tubular breasts may affect breastfeeding. So after tubular breasts correction, does it improve breastfeeding or does it affect breastfeeding?
any breast surgery can affect breastfeeding ability but the rate of that complication is low. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
question, when you take out the breast implants do you feel pain when you wake up?
you can feel some minor pain or discomfort in early postoperative period, but later you should have no issues.

Hi doctor amazing work! Could you have done a fat transfer on her? I have the same problem but I am scared of putting implants. I have a lot of fat to spare and was wondering if it was possible for this kind of deformity. Thank you.

Are the patients able to breastfeed after the procedure?
every breast surgery has a risk of possible breastfeeding issues later in life.
Is it possible for this to be done on bigger t tuberous breast and is it possible for this to to be done with fat instead of an implant

Barrett Plastic Surgery I am truly thankful for your reply I absolutely love your work and I can’t wait until I am financially able to get work done in a trusted facility.
Would this cost more than a regular breast implant ?
Yes the price can vary a good bit. It’s going to be more expansive because of the correction to the breast before adding implants.
The before and after at the very end shows that the nipples are still way too low.

Can a tuberlous breast at puberty change or correct at is grows fully
it depends on your age and built. It is a deformity that occurs during puberty (hormonal_) so it is no use to seek changes during puberty. Later on, there are surgical ways, and for getting minor omprovements there are exercising options
Can you still breastfeed after this?
loss of breastfeding ability after any breast surgery is possible, but the risk is really low and most patients are able to breastfeed.
ngiluu😐
Thank you for sharing this video! I was diagnosed with the same condition and will be having my BA surgery in 4months time and I really love seeing what other surgeons do to „fix“ tuberous breast👏🏼 Had to wait 5years to get this done but I cannot wait to have this issue fixed 🥹
