    Gilmour has a great ASMR voice here.

      Definitely. Look up the interviews about Syd Barrett, literally all of them have great ASMR voices.

    Great David Gilmour Interview, '92 BBC. David shares some bits of information not heard in the early years. Love his music, honesty and good fun. Enjoy👍❤️❤️

    So in person Pink Floyd music is that kind of music who complete the puzzle 🧩 and without it ,there’s something missing !
    I can listen to their music days and night and lovely to enjoy most of their lives stages
    Absolutely great band

    Genius, of course. When you hear the basic demo, it shows how much extra work went into it (without actually saying that) :)

    What a great interview. Anything new from David is like a little jem. So i thoroughly enjoyed this. Lots of little bits of new info about the Roger fued and more info on David nightmare in France. I also think Nicky almost slipped up with his Lucy in the sky with diamonds remark. Loved it and it was cut love to find the rest of this interview.......😂😂😂😂😂😊

    Is there possibly a second part? Some of the announced demos and questions aren't in here. But thank you for sharing anyway. This is so nice to listen to.

    I find it strange that david brought in a demo produced and performed entirely by roger.

      It's Pink Floyd. Period.

      Perhaps it was to highlight that this, a tune with “Words & Music by Roger Waters”, would have sounded rather different (i.e. more like the plaintive demo) if it didn’t have the involvement by the rest of the band? That’s my take on it. Gilmour (and Wright) have imprinted a lot of their musical fingerprints on the final studio version that we got to know.

    I'd be very curious to know what jobs he had to do to "survive" as a starving artist in Paris. Gigolo?, drug dealer?.

    • @sportz2493
      @sportz2493 Před 6 lety +2

      Gilmour's family wasn't wealthy. They were solidly middle class - father was a professor and mother worked for the BBC. In any case, he was in fact hospitalized with malnutrition and pneumonia so regardless of his family's finances, he was basically starving during this time.

    • @lisanorris4921
      @lisanorris4921 Před 5 lety +5

      I heard on a 1994 BBC program from David Gilmour that he was in Paris in 1960 playing random gigs with the band he was in. They didn't make enough money and he ended up hospitalized for malnutrition.

      @@Mar-up7db He could have been employed as a model. He is so obviously good looking: too good looking for just a band! Ha only joking 😂

    • @deanadewall8400
      @deanadewall8400 Před rokem

      He modeled a little, but was uncomfortable with it; he also did some backstage work for other bands, busked for a bit and other odd jobs. But no, he wasn't a gigolo or drug dealer lol.
