There is a reason that Sauvage appears on all the fragrance lists. It's a delicate balance between spices, citrus, and classic earthy vibes. Francois Demachy did well in creating a scent that any man could identify with. Sauvage by Christian Dior is a cologne that ladies love. - Jak na to + styl

The 1st time i smelled it was in Macys. I tested like 4 different scents from different brands. Dior Sauvage was the first then I moved on to the next three. Dior sauvage smelled the best so I went back and bought it.
True, I went through all the heavyweights at Sephora: Versace Eros, Paco Rabanne 1 million, Prada L’Homme, YSL Y EDP, Mont Blanc Explorer and etc. and nothing competes with Sauvage except BdC EDP. Even then, Sauvage outperforms BdC.
Same I went to macys and got it
thanks
It literally smells like urine
But the truth is not a lot of guys actually wear cologne so you will stand out most of the time
You need to leave the US, it’s a whole different world when you do.
Exactly, i know people might not buy this fragrance because it seems ‘everyone’ has it, but yeah 60% of UK men wear colognes at least occasionally
In my area, I’ve never smelled dior sauvage on any guy. Why? Because most guys wear colognes that are cheap. And if there are guys that wear Sauvage. It’s usually one or two guys. Maybe 3. But other than that. No other guy wears it. They’ll either wear AXE, Old Spice or some other cheap body sprays. Or they just won’t wear anything at all.
@@gaget5455 I never actually smelled any Dior on any guy in Poland. And I work near Sephora. Guys actually don't even bother to test out any fragrances. In last 6 months I only smelled Sauvage Elixir once actually. In my country only women usually wear any cologne and 80% of the time it's cheap and awful. When I wear any fragrance, Versace Dylan Blue for example I get weird looks from women and I hear men sniffing me all the time lol. But I never actually got any compliment... People are weird...
Fragrance*
Most guys don’t wear anything so having any fragrance on your already ahead of the game. something being “played out” is probably the last thing you should consider when buying a fragrance i held out on this one for awhile because I kept hearing that and I immediately regretted not buying it sooner when I finally got my nose on it so don’t make the same mistake I did! if you like it go for it there is a reason it’s popular. And this one is right up there with fragrances like BDC or ysl Y you just can’t go wrong with fragrances like those although I would recommend the edp in those I think if you don’t have any in your collection sauvage edt is the best one to buy first definitely going to be the freshest of the bunch and probably the best performer as well this one is a people pleaser and easy for guys of Any age to pull off although it might lean slightly younger than the others
definitely performw well. it lasts on my skin almost 12 hours. unique scent.
I can also say this is all absolutely true. Well said!
especially in high school
Absolutely! I fell like this isn't said enough. Not to mention its especially true if you don't live in a big well known or "trendy" city.
Yeah, it's really only popular among people who actually bother wearing fragrances, which most people don't. If you walk in a room of 1,000 random people, there are probably very few of them actually wearing a fragrance, and whatever they are wearing is probably something cheap they grabbed at Walmart. Or, if you walk in another room with 1,000 people, all of which are wearing fragrances, the majority of them are probably wearing Sauvage. Most people don't wear any fragrance though, at least not regularly. Wear whatever you like.
dior sauvage is an absolute must have imo. people are attracted to this scent: it's fresh. it's sharp. it's rugged. and most importantly the dry down is just so damn manly. that's why people can't get enough of this fragrance!
One of the best fragrances out there.
eau de toilette?
But everyone is saying it has been reformulated I am confused whether I should buy it now or not? What do u say has it changed and what is the longetivity now?
@@fukrannazir485 look for older batches. I bought 2021 batch and its weak in performance and
Longevity. Even the smell is like watered down a bit.
@@raphaelreves7871 I have a 2018 batch it’s nearly empty now it is very nice and well blended but can’t seem to smell in on myself and only barley can smell where I’ve sprayed on my skin after about 5 hours it’s gone to be honest as no one ever comments that I smell nice
If the ladies love it, then I love it. Lol

😅😅❤
Omg so true .
As a young teenager I wear this every day to school and it just stays on until the the next day and thanks to this, I get many compliments.😂😂
I love it.I always grab this when I don’t know what else’s too wear. I’ll always be a fan of Sauvage.
I know everyone has it, but I love it so so much!
Love Sauvage but still my favorite is Bleu de Chanel. I feel more classy and elegant with it
Bleu de Chanel EDP screams high status and is a very fresh scent. I’d love to get it one day but I can’t afford it now 😔
@@Anonymous183- Versace Dylan Blue is reasonably close to Bleu de Chanel and not that expensive. I even got more compliments using this cheaper fragrances compared to other expensive ones!
@@Anonymous183- edt is better
@@KingClaw I agree, the edt has a slight fresher masculine edge to it that I don’t pick up when I smell the edp or the parfum and the dry down on the edt is much better aswell.
@@Anonymous183-it's been 1 year. you own it yet bro? hope so man. if not you'll have it one day. cheers
I like it, but only for special occasions. It’s one of “those” …the ones that can be too much of a good thing.
I have 20 high quality fragrances and I got this one at number 7 just because it’s so good! Most of my fragrances are not “super popular” but definitely known to people who are heavy into the fragrance world!
Can’t go wrong with savage sauvage 😜
And smell like 70% ppl in office, the popularity killed it for me
@@K6mil it's true I hate to say it
@@K6mil no even close. Less than 50% of the men around the world wear cologne.
@@oaksxnfx3147not true at all.
Its not fair to give it a low score just because its well known. It does not change the fragrence itself and that is what you need to review.
Totally agree! Sauvage is work of art. 👍
I agree so much!
7 is not a low score though
@@maxbergman9430 but he would give it a higher score if less people would wear it.
Not even overplayed everyone is lying. Have smelled it once or twice. AT MOST twice. Honestly if people are gonna wear fragrances its not gonna be Sauvage every time. Most people wear cheap fragrances from zara or some shit and all the other designer fragrances that are popular and people say you'll smell different from everyone. I have smelled Acqua Di Gio and Dior Fahrenheit more times than i can count. Those are overplayed. Not sauvage.
Its nice, i like EDP and Elixir more though
I'm 17 and I live in Brazil. I don't think many people are rocking this here, it's very expensive and I might actually just buy this
Brabo
comprei meu hj, pode ficar tranquilo que é praticamente impossivel achar gente usando por aqui kkkkkk
Ive made savauge my signature scent. Why you might ask, well what are the actual odds of someone actually wearing the same cologne as you.
Idk how but I got a 6.8 oz bottle off of Macys website rn for 112 I can’t believe it idk if there website had a error or what but I got it🔥🔥🔥 they got a promotion for 20% off rn but that’s way more than 20%
I got this in 2021 in it last for 5 hours….I love the edp
I never tried it before but I always heard about it. I went in to Sephora to try it on a paper and it smells nice. I’ll have to pick it up sometime soon
I probably run into one other guy on a daily basis that wears cologne I really don’t know many other guys that wear cologne and if they do, it’s always something like polo or curve
Love it to death! The whole line really. BUT recent formulations have taken a huge toll in terms of performance and longevity 😢
You probably went nose blind. The one I have from 2022 lasts 10 hours.
Omg my girls love it
And i like the words ur using
I got a sample of this when I purchased another brand. It's good, just a little too sweet for me. I like citrus notes better.
The best perfume. Legend of perfumery
I bought a bottle yesterday at a well-known department store but this doesn't hold like it used to.
My only complaint is that once it fully dries, it never really evolves again. It just remains sturdy which is great if you need that. But I tend to like it when the fragrance evolves.
This is goat. Perfumery to perfection, hats off to the perfumer Demachy.
The longevity and the projection are nothing like described in the video. I think people has some nostalgia about this frag cause it used to be a beast but now it’s damn reformulated. The scent is still lovely but doesn’t even come close to a beast longevity or projection.
Tbh I bought a bottle of Sauvage EDT in October 2023 and I can’t stand it fast forward to 2024 it smells very synthetic and dry down is just plain horrible (it could be my batch )but I will definitely try and opt for the edp
Being different has way deeper meaning than putting fragrance others don't:D
I’ll never get Dior Sauvage. The Pour Homme one stands out more and imo smells better. Dior Sauvage is like a normal fragrance at this point. So many people have it and I don’t want to fit in, I want to stand out. I’ve started to collect some and I have about 5 fragrances left to collect. I’ll only stick to 10 fragrances. I’d prefer Versace Dylan Blue over Sauvage because it has an oceanic, tropical twist to it which is perfect for anything. I think Dylan Blue is the most flexible fragrance I’ve ever bought. I can wear it literally anywhere.
Edit : So far I have the following fragrances :-
Versace Dylan Blue
Versace Eros
D&G Light Blue Eau intense
D&G The One Edp
Tom Ford Ombré Leather
Azzaro Wanted
Azzaro Wanted by Night
Bleu de Chanel
Allure Homme Sport by Chanel
Stronger with You by Emporio Armani
I might get more fragrances in the future, I don’t know. I most possibly might. If I do, the next one I’ll get will surely be something from Jean Paul Gaultier.
What is your favorite
This is best! Better then Aventus and other popular and expensive ones I have!
I was shocked to learn something about the big name frags at arguably the biggest Niche store in Canada. The 3 to 5 main(best) notes of these frags are replaced with SYNTHETICS !!! I am in a city with over 2 million people. You can get big name colognes in MANY drug stores, gas stations, etc like Dior Sauvage, Bleu De Chanel, Tom Ford, Initio. I saw Dior bottles and Bleu De Chanel in a vending machine! Also they are all over airports. He/she said ambroxan is amped up sooo much like msg for food. The store gets asked all the time why many designer frags are not on the shelf and the response is on a website now to save time explaining. Pre Estee Lauder takeover they were all over her shelves. I, like many, smell BDC and Dior S. and find it just ok. The reason some on youtube still say it is the best ever is they get free bottles TO SELL and make $. I was floored.
I find it hard to believe the EDT lasy 8-12 hours EDP is 6-8 and the elixir or parfume is said to be the strongest
The ladies do love it
I guarantee you that if you put it on and don’t tell anyone you are wearing Dior no one will know the difference. It’s pretty rare to come across someone who knows their fragrances from memory. Just don’t go around telling people it’s Dior and just enjoy the scent.
You shouldn't rate it so low cause people use it a lot, if anything it should be the opposit but ii agree with everything else its an easy 8.5 at least 8...i think the sauvage elixir is the best of the line now though, for younger guys definitely the EDT is the better choice
I prefer the edt tbh, it's still very strong but less of what ever makes sauvage smell so distinct which is what I'm not a huge fan of.
Man, this is the best one out of all of them. I have Elixir and it’s awesome, but you can’t use it in extreme heat like you can the edt.
7/10 "overplay", if you notice in your city is not everywhere or the culture of fragance is lower than expected, this one EDT of sauvage is 10 / 10. Try guys, is better than many other more expensive fragances.... like creed or xarxoff, etc...
Opening Kinda smells like after-shave dry down is killer idk why it's so popular performance is beast mode I'ma give it a few more days
im looking at amazon and is there a difference between the fresh version and the fresh, citrus and woody one
Idc if it's overplayed I just bought it to add to my collection and my God it is a beast I'm no longer buying from tj maxx or burlington that phase is over 😂😂😂
I used to have Sauvage, used it up and did not repurchase. Then a few years later, I got into fragrances and knew how popular it was, so instead, I opted for a clone that smells pretty damn close to Sauvage. I would never pay for it, but a clone for $22 is a no brainer, as Sauvage is otherwise an excellent fragrance.
I enjoy this scent but it's not my preferred scent profile whatsoever. It is a heavy hitter and I reckon it will stand the test of time decades from now.
Just bought it today. I love it. 60 ml bottle.
how much is it
Have the 60 ml too love it not too small not too big
@@sw4mp38 I payed 55€ for 60 ml bottle
People forget fragrances smell different on different people, so no need to be too concerned about others wearing this
Any one answer? What are differences between ( Dior Sauvage Parfum) and ( Christian Dior Sauvage Eau De Parfum Spray), both are in Amazon Cart, any one help which one is good? Please
It’s a really good fragrance but you have to be careful where u wear it and when u wear it u obviously can’t wear it on a date or a formal dinner but could wear it to the gym, sporting event and an informal outing or lunch
So 7/10, because other people use it? I wonder how would he feel if he released a fragrance that many people use…
Is it still worth buying in 2021 as it has been reformulated. Does it still last upto 8 hours?
I just bought it 1 spray will last 4 hours haven’t sprayed more than once cause haven’t went out tho
On clothes 3+ days no problem
What's your take on Sauvage? Comment below!
I have all 3 flankers ,for me is just great.
Love it
@@raphael9197 Wich one do you have.?
Tried Sauvage edt, nothing special. Tried Sauvage Elixir, blew my mind, bought it right away!
Wish had fragrance but don't have money😭😭
with the current formulation it last probably like 3 hours ! Really frustrating.
If you want a big head ache this is perfect
My second fragrance purchase, again based on your recommendation. I had to go refill my atomizer from the bottle and put some on after watching this. 😂
I'm not a fan of 4ft projection. When I enter a room I don't want to be noticed and when I leave I don't want to be remembered. That's why I use CK Eternity, only I can smell me and I become forgettable.
I'm pretty sure this had been weakened alot
Does the new batch of sauvage have the same 4+ feet projection??
I heard reformation destroyed it's performance completely; is it TRUE??
I don't own it but I've tested the new EDT batches multiple times and found out that twice I couldn't smell it after 4 hours and every other time I could smell it for like 8 hours(I always checked the batches they were all late 2022). With that said I also put it on a strip once like one of those special testing strips Dior has for their Sauvage line which is a circle that says Sauvage with a bit of texture and I could smell it for literally a week and even pushing two weeks. With that said I think a lot of it has to do with the testers being very recently opened. Because it's such a great seller Dior produces them massively and the second they are bottled they send them out to all the stores for sale which doesn't give the fragrance time to develop. People say that it's been reformulated and it doesn't perform but I think that if you use the fragrance a bit(like 10 times) and then leave it in a cool environment like a cabinet where no sunlight hits the bottle for like 2 months or so it would develop and it would perform like everyone on here says it does.
Good job 👏
EDT was reformulated in 2018
How’s the performance mate?
@@JeckertDagdag My 2022 bottle lasts 10 hours. Don't fall for the bull-f*ckary. it's still a very strong and loud projecting fragrance. At least for me. Hope this helps
Great one.just got my two Roja haut luxe and many more so excited and over the top lolz
I love this just showered and sprayed some on
The legend !
Thankfully, men in my country are not using any perfumes so it's good for me ;)
Can you please recommend a place that buy the 2015 version
I've tried and failed to like Sauvage! It just isn't for me. I'll take Bleu de Chanel Parfum, Luna Rossa Carbon, and even Dylan Blue instead:)
I know what you mean. Some men don't really like this. Bleu De Chanel is defnitely a must-have!
I didnt like it either. Many say it smells manly but to me it doesnt. It actually smells soapy with a lot of baby powder to me.
Overplayed means good.
Becareful the silage can really smoke up a small room and that can be a bad thing.
2022 bottle?
Mine seems to fade in like 1-2h
Reformulation
Maybe you got a spoiled batch or a fake bottle
What about 2021 re formulations is it weak now, because I got a 200ml bottle and I’m worried it won’t be strong
tell me how is it? is it still has good performance?
we are waiting pls reply T^T
@@galaxyregaz5484 not really, it’s definitely weaker now, but still lasts 10 hours just doesn’t project
I got the same edt cuz i had the edp and i used to get compliments with that but now the edt just smells better at start and then goes out after 30 mins :p
@@7707J it lasts long for me but does not project.
I wanted to gift my dad a perfume since he loves it. But after pandemic he stop buying experience ones. I just got my first job. So I want to gift him something that came from my own pockets.
So what do you recommend?
He used to have Bvlgari or CKs.
And the scents that suits him the most are dark but sweet earthy ones. Not strong. As he has a very strong and very serious face.
A fragrance should be tanked on the fragrance and not on being over or underplayed.
That’s what I using I love the perfume
Sir i bought a 200 ml EDT Sauvage but it seems not as strong others smell it but i dont smell it at all if i apply it any advice ?
Can you wear this to school or is it too overpowering?
