This is yet another example of how kendama is so similar to skateboarding. So many tricks will have your body wanting to naturally do them the wrong way until you look up how it’s supposed to be done. I was definitely swinging my ken in a circle, thinking that I was just bad at lining it up.
I've been like doing this for a week and I just ain't landing it bruh, I did land it twice but that was 3 days ago now, deadass getting fed up lol
landed this on my first day having a ken! you got this!
Been struggling for a few days , rewatched the video, lightened up and got it in 3 tries.

So i just tried this for 200 times and it still didn't work
Its the same for me too... I have the Boo Johnson sweets kendama and when I "load it up" and release, the body of the kendama starts spinning and when I pull up, it becomes worse.. I dont get it
they need to give more of an in-depth analysis than just yank it towards you and spike it

For like a month and I have landed one, pretty sure by accident. I am no pro but I can usually at least get the mechanics down. On that trick though I can even get the cup to face the tama.
i m gonna go in depth with it.
you re gonna gently spin the ken to the right so that the big cup is rotating to you then what you wanna do is just pull up , not swing it or something, that will cause it to be an airplane.
