You are definitely off to a good start. I love these pages, especially the little village in the snow. I would never have thought to put the bunting at the top but it looks great. You have such creative ideas. I was amazed to hear my name at the end of the video and that I won a copy of the magazine. It is so hard to get in stores in the States, so I now subscribe. I should be getting my copy in a couple of days. With that being said, I hope you will pick a new winner so someone else can also have a copy of the magazine. It was your videos that prompted me to make DD art journals. I’m in USA so I have to wait for mags to come to Barnes and nobles or Publix many many weeks later than publication. No shipping costs, and I just love them!

Hi Nina. This journal is starting out with such a delicate whimsical feel. Each of the pieces you’ve chosen to use today are quite adorable. I really am taken by the watercolor field and sky of hearts. I would certainly love being able to watercolor like this. I like how you selected a portion of the love poem to fill the space. Good morning nina, like you said, the first page is in and if that is pleasing , you feel like going on and create a beautiful journal. I loved the Valentines page.So sweet of you to do faux stitching , because of Toby being asleep, so recognisable, I always do the vacuumcleaning when Abel is outside, he hates it. We do anything to please our little princes, don't we? Next friday I am having the annual februarydiner with a group of friends and this year I am making a quiz, so that will keep me busy today. Good Morning Nina.
It is 4:32 am in Virginia. I am usually asleep until 8am before getting ready and heading off to church. Last night my Dad and I had a church dinner to attend at a church families home. It's in one of those new modern HUGE homes where the bottom floor are all windows and only the inner structure have walls. The woman is an elephant collector (and so am I - but I also collect giraffes). I loved this woman who was the host and as soon as I arrived back home. I got out my beads and my faux silver elephant charms to make her a bracelet. But, I was so tired I changed my clothes quick and I laid down on my sofa, told myself last here for 30 min and then get up and make the bracelet and make 3 Valentine's Day cards for the other 3 women in my class. I laid down at 9 pm and just awakened. I am so angry at myself because the foyer light now has been burning the entire night between the living room and the kitchen. 😮 I hate to waste power when others do not have electricity.
I left last night rather early. I went to the bakery to pick up a fruit topped cake and then I went to pick up my Dad and then go find the house. When I came home last night I had a package by my door. I was so excited to open it up as it's size I had been thrown off a bit. It was my first journal for gluing pictures in, artwork, paintings, etc. it came with a beautiful set of paint brushes and paint. Just yesterday I was watching on Instagram a woman's site (her sites name I cannot recall) and she did a very cool page all revolving around hearts. Then I see your one page now with the hearts and the poem and it's given me such a great idea. I think after church and lunch with my Dad I will come home and start page one being a centerfold. Before I make the bracelet and the note cards I thought I would pop on here to play catch up to what I have missed from those I follow. As soon as I turned on my telephone I recd your alert. Such great timing! Have a happy Sunday. I shall make my bracelet now.
Before I forget, I am thrilled at the idea of resizing a page to fit the journal page.

Hello Rebekah. Sorry it’s taken me so long to reply. You obviously needed the rest last week. Don’t be too hard on yourself about the foyer light, it sounds as though you are usually very mindful. It’s lovely to hear you had such a nice time and had so much in common with the host and I’m sure she will be thrilled to bits with the bracelet you have made. Good Morning Nina, I was so happy to get up and see a video from you. I adore all your pages today, but Millie is my favorite, I just love the black and white with the little bit of color. I started my PT last week but due to conflicting schedules, I don't go back until the 23rd. But then it will be twice a week for a while. I used to take our boys there during the school holidays as there were always kid friendly events on. We had a beautiful walk. Louie is being a little tinker and keeps stealing Toby’s bed! Your video popped up for me today and wow, I’m so glad I clicked on it. I learned so much and am eager to attack the vintage children’s books I’ve collected over many (many) years. Books make my world go around and the thought of cutting pages nearly gives me a panic attachment 🤣 Over the years, I’ve collected quite a pile of “damaged” books that are now “unused damaged books”. Your video opened my eyes to so many possibilities and now, I’m super excited to take on a few projects. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and creativity, I just subscribed 🫶🏻

Lovely, absolutely lovely! I so wish the last two issues of Daphne’s Diary would have been available here. The store I buy them from said they have been shorted for the second order in a row and they can’t get back orders even though they have a list of names waiting for their books. I guess the supply can’t keep up with the demand😊. Good sign of the popularity!
That’s interesting. They were sold out in my local Waitrose almost immediately. I had to order the extra copies from Magazine Supermarket online. Hope you manage to bag one soon 💙
