I think in a critical situation where a goal is needed by Argentina, Icardi can be a solution. He is a bit like Inzagi for he is good at positioning himself, but he is a bit like Vieri for he is so strong. Higuain this year is not that good. Icardi is badly needed in Argentine forward post. He can score from anywhere with any part of his body. But he needs to remember that Argentine national team is loved not only by Argentine people, but also people worldwide. Even, often I find in one family, their fans grow from one generation to the next one. Even now, some of my friends in Indonesia say they have no motivation to watch WC 2018 after Argentine exit. This means that those in the national team should be able to become good role models and inspirations to many people from different ages and nations. Icardi should understand this, and improve his attitude.
If only he had been in this WC, he would have been spoiled by many excellent passes from Leo Messi. I hope they could work together next year in Copa America 2019 in Brazil. Don't waste the explosion these two talents combined can create, plus Dyballa for sure.
I Putu Myartawan Icardi and Dybala should’ve been used in this World Cup. This comes down to the coach in my opinion. He should’ve integrated Icardi and Dybala into this team, found a way to blend them in with Messi. The passes Di Maria and Meza missed, Icardi and Dybala would’ve buried into the back of the net for sure. Sampaoli fucked this up by not playing Icardi in the friendlies as well as Dybala. Sampaoli’s stubbornness cost Argentina 🇦🇷 dearly this World Cup, had he have done this AND find a midfield creator to play alongside Lo Celso (also play Lo Celso) Argentina would still be in this World Cup. Messi as well as some of those guys who’ve lost those three finals deserved a chance to win but Sampaoli robbed them of that chance, if he stays as coach he HAS to get this team right.

Richard Leka they did get absolutely correct. If he had been selected then either higuain dybala or pavon would have been excluded. Higuain though is a bottler can link up play greatly. And dybala and higuain has very good chemistry. Pavon in other hand is very good winger who can defend the team. So I think excluding icardi was very good decision.
Higuain is 13 goals behind Icardi in the league, not sure how he still find a way to the WC squad.

This guy had the talent. He was the best choice for PSG at the time he arrived. But damn, he really let himself go when he was at Paris. His first half of season was pretty good, the second half, he took weight and was no longer Tuchel's first choice. After that, his second and third season were not good too. Really, his mentality wasn't top back then while he was really needed in the front of the attack. A waste in talent somehow with what we could achieve. But he did well at Inter and now in Galatasaray. But come on, he could have been one of the best striker easily, especially with his style of playing which isn't that common nowadays.

Those who say he is better than Higuain may not have watched Higuain enough. Higuain missed few crucial chances, but that does not make him a bad player. Icardi did play alongside messi in WC qualifiers and he was not impressive too.
ajith kumar he played two games, Higuaín played like 6/7 plus two recent friendliest and didn’t score. Also his teammates don’t pass him the ball once Messi is gone he’ll play every game.
