That movie was a spinoff from the SNL skit of the same name starring Ferrel, Kattan, and Jim Carey. Pretty much made this song famous. It was a club hit before that skit, but they took it global on SNL.

I think this was a hit all over the world. This went gold 3x here in germany and I remember this song fondly from my childhood, even though I was just 1 year old at release lol. I discovered it years later, but it was still getting airplay every once in a while.
