How do the county rules differ?
The regulations are mostly divided up by the city districts, not the counties. So for example - Mount Pleasant, James Island, and downtown Charleston are all in Charleston County but have different rules on short term rentals. So if there is a certain area you're curious about, I'm happy to guide you in the right direction regarding the rules there!
What about rentals that are 30 days and more, midterm rental? The Peninsula is category 1 or 2? What are the rules?
These rules don’t apply to the midterm rentals, so the categories wouldn’t matter. You can do rentals 30 days and more anywhere, permitting HOA rules!
@@KatarinaWestRE so no business license, no applications, but what about the property being residential and not commercial? Also, what are the best websites to list the midterm properties that are closed to MUSC?
@@GorganaTheMag correct as far as I’m aware. And it would be allowed for the property to be residential instead of commercial for midterm rentals. The best site I know of is furnishedfinder.com but there are a few others like Airbnb extended stays, hometogo.com, and even apartments.com!
I think it's safer to buy a vacation place in Spain. Charleston is becoming too dangerous.
Dangerous how?
@@KatarinaWestRE shootings Katarina. Downtown Charleston at night is like Sao Paolo and I've been told it's getting worse. Stay safe.
@@chris3341no its not lol
