Interesting re-issues, but yeah at least Playmates are looking into re-issuing older figures from the past. Some TMNT fans would be very appreciative of this move. :) And of course, you would be into Daltanious. ;) :D
Speaking as someone who grew up when the 2003 versions of the Turtles were the main image of the franchise, I wouldn't mind those getting reissued. Hell, we're approaching the 20th anniversary of that incarnation next year. I'd droll over NECA versions of 2003 TMNT figures. Still, I at least like the idea of the Toon Turtles, even if I feel the original line is better overall.
I'd at least like that entire cartoon to be released on DVD (or if possible, Blu-Ray).

I'd love to see Playmates reissue other figures like the smaller version of Krang's Body, Scratch, Ray Filet, Usagi Yojimbo, The Punk Toads, Chromedome, Casey Jones etc.
Also I'd love to see reissues of other classic vehicles and especially The Techodrome and the Turtle Lair.
I hope we get more re-issues like this! I'd kill for a re-issued Usagi and some of the other more obscure mutant characters like Groundhog,Dirtchuck,Panda Khan and so on
Yes! Would love to have a re-issue of Usagi as well! I really loved the Usagi and Jin figures from the 2003 series and since Usagi was also in the 2012 series as well I really loved the figure of Usagi for that as well; here’s hoping we’ll get another one as well, being a casual fan of TMNT but a fan of Usagi Yojimbo I would love to see more figures
Personally kind of feel like the toon color shredder from this line should’ve been also in this rerelease considering how sought after that version of that figure is instead of being a pre-order bonus for a video game for some reason. Also like everyone says that Leonardo is going to haunt my dreams
The only way you can get a reissued Toon Shredder currently was if you got a special pre-order of Shredder's Revenge which came with a cartoon accurate Shredder.

Playmates calls them TOON TURTLES, but still toy colored….were original 1993 colored the same, I was too old for TMNT in 1991…who am I kidding I quit because I got tired of my baby brothers getting in my room while I was at school and messing them up. Never forget first figure I got was Michelangelo in 1988 and last Turtle related thing I got was Helicopter vehicle in 1991.
These remind me of the "Fright Features" Real Ghostbusters toys. They were all doing knock-off Tex Avery reactions that would never occur in the actual cartoons the toys were supposed to be based on.

They should've just omitted those TV accessories if they weren't going use lenticular stickers. Or if there's some legal problem with the original images, make new lenticular stickers.
I own the originals but doing some research on these reissues.
Seems like the new ones are all metallic where the original ones even the bodies have a pearl sheen to them instead of metallic.
A lot of the vintage toys may not be cartoon accurate but I learn to appreciate the designs more now as an... ugh.... old guy
The only problem I had with the original action figures and the cartoon was that the action figures look miles better than the cartoon. So much so that I believe that the toys were actually what they were supposed to look like rather than what we actually got the show
Honestly the biggest issue I have with these and the originals is the faces. Had they fixed those they actually would’ve been pretty accurate.
