There are a lot of unsung heroes in our country's history. The renovation of the hospital and the school really brought me chills. The patriotism among the citizens was firm. Imagine a teacher who rendered a priceless service at almost no cost. Imagine the determination of that youthful government.
Who else noticed that our current minister of information, Mohamed Rahman Swarray, was among the students interviewed on the FBC campus?

I am very impressed by this young President Strasser. These are the men and women with real family values; it just so happened that him and his Freedom Fighters, had to fight to recapture a decent standard of living. I have to see where he is today. Very good documentary, inspiring.
    Family, make this happen.

Wow. Great documentary. Gives me chills. I was too little to understand but as a daughter of a heroe soldier. I salute them all. May God bless them and their families. Its unfortunate how things is going on in our country. God knows best. Lets not relent praying for our country Sierra Leone. Someday, God will send us a great leader that has the interest of the Country at heart.

It was the best government that was suitable for Sierra Leone . The country was in order and everyone takes respect them . This Contry you see today lawlessness should have been in better shame. For my own point of view it was the best government so far in the history of Sierra Leone

As a child , I admired these young men. The youth are favored by time , as opposed to the 60 year olds whose last hoorah is a spot in government, a last chance to fatten their stomachs . We(the youth) can make the sacrifices our country needs .

Thank you for an excellent historical account in our political rules. This is no doubt an important resource for the subject Social Studies/History to be told in the classroom of every school in Sierra Leone. I find this very educative especially listening to the Captain’s first anniversary speech.
Hilton, we need more of this please. I have learnt much about that era.

It's True, I am one of the students in Kenema town that danced for this govt. All the schools went to the streets dancing for their regime and this documentary brings back good memories of my school days I was in form 3, NPRC was the best govt we ever had and enjoyed. Money in the country we enjoyed school holidays etc.

He spent his own money to renovate the entire PCM hospital, he reinstate light and water? How many today are doing that simply because they believe in the ruling government??? Bring the Captain to come with his talents for change, he did that then, he can do that well now for change🙏🙏☝️

These are one of the videos we need in our schools, not only verbal transfer of this knowledge. Hearing from the horses mouth and seeing the evidences, this will massively promote widening our horizons both as politicians expectations and Sierra Leoneans’s. I see vibrant, versatile, and fluency in communication. I got chills and almost cried at how organized people were at the stadium unlike our current days, how the parastatals were in unison, how calmed and collected and eloquent the information given. But then a small voice said “is it maybe it was because of the military?” Lolz. Everything spoken puts into today’s Sierra Leone will bring real discipline: careless about international help, improve our human powers. GOD BLESS OUR SIERRA LEONE 🇸🇱😭😭😭❤️

Even CZcams’s caption can capture 99% accuracy of the words spoken. But now, our journalists don’t even have questions lest I say be fluent in English, same with the people they interviewing. Play any recent journalism from SL, put CZcams caption on, you’ll cry. I felt like I am living in the past and watching the future. 😭😭😭 GOD BLESS OUR SIERRA LEONE 🇸🇱

I have to ask who made this documentary? It seemed to be made by the NPRC government or sponsored by them. Their rule had many problems, of course they did some good too. The cleaning campaigns, improving hospitals and huge reduction of inflation were all good things and no government after them has achieved that. They also tried their best to stop RUF rebels that were terrorising the rural areas at the time, they are our 'best' government after the rule of our first prime minster who takes first place. NPRC is better than APC and SLPP, however, they had a darker side. Beating people on the streets, diamond smuggling, spending government funds for personal use, suppression of the press, enlisting child soldiers to the army and when they took power killing enemies on the beach with no proper trail.
This documentary is one sided only showing the good, the interviewer does not question the beach killings and beatings of civilians that were already taking place at this time. A bias account of history can be very dangerous, many people will wish for the NPRC days because nowadays Sierra Leone is struggling and seems to have little order, but nostalgia should not make us blind. NPRC was surely better than APC and SLPP, despite the fact that they did good things they were not an example of 'good' governance, . Let's not forget that. I still enjoyed watching this, we need more documentaries about our history so we can learn and grow.
