- I wanted to put a descriptive and easy video on how to make these giant tissue paper flowers. Since I struggled to find one with measurements. I figured out the measurements for you so you don't have to. Excuse the quality but I just got too excited and wanted to produce a video quickly.
Big Flower Size 15" | Tissue paper size 16.5" x 24"
Petal Size sheets:
4 Sheets 16.5" x 24"
Center Fringe Sheet size:
2 Sheets 8.25" x 24"
Fold at 2" for accordion fold.
Smaller Flower Size 13" | Tissue paper size 14.5" x 22"
Petal Size sheets:
4 Sheets 14.5" x 22"
Center Fringe Sheet size:
2 Sheets 7.25" x 22"
Fold at 1.75" for accordion fold.
* You can increment the flower to be bigger or smaller by just adding 2 inches or subtracting two inches down to the sizes I have. If you go smaller you may have to decrease the amount of sheets you use because it will be harder to pull the tissue paper up when fluffing the flower.

If you buy tissue paper at Dollar Tree it will be 20" x 20" . It wont work unless the tissue paper is cut into a rectangular shape but the flower will be smaller. I had to glue stick some together.
You can buy the string at Dollar Tree Store or you can use any type of string that is laying around at home. It wont matter since it wont be seen.

I think this one is easier to make than the paper flowers. I will be making DIY backdrop for our wedding this oct. Can i make these in advance and still maintain its shape?
Yes you can, if you want to keep dust away from it keep it in a box or bag. Make sure its stored somewhere where they wont get destroyed.

When increasing and decreasing in size how does that affect the measurement of the accordion fold
If we need to reduce by 2 inches the size of petals we decrease also the middle sheets in 2 inches?
Yes correct!! :) The measurements can be found in description for the bigger sized flower. I also describe if you do go, let's say smaller than the 2 inches you intend you may have to decrease the amount of tissue paper or it will end up looking bulky.
How long do these flowers last? I wan to make a perm decor semi wall in my room but I don't want them to fall off like, in just a few months
I still have them but I had them in a plastic bag to keep them away from dust. This video was made 3 years ago. I’m sure they can last for a good while. Sorry for late response.
