    6:20 - He was 100% right here, and this was said by Andrew Neil, Murdoch had a plan, to give away dishes to bring in the customer. Once you have the customer connected, it is very hard for them to leave, especially when they have a dish and box all there in their homes.

      Different now though... With Netflix, Amazon etc etc... The younger generation doesn't really watch live broadcast tv anymore. A part from news and sports and the odd event live tv show... I mostly watch on demand.

      True although what lead to that and really doomed them was when the regulator forced Sky out of the project, that turned Murdoch from an ally to an enemy and as enemy he did what Murdoch does and crushed them.

    I love how back in the late 90s, the promise of a multi channel future was sooooooo exciting!
    Now, in 2022? I actually want a rollback to a limited number of channels in order to boost quality!

    On Digital. A more apt name may have been Off Digital seeing how the bloody signal wasn't strong enough and you got a red dot instead of a channel. And then owned by Granada and Carlton. Summed up its failure
