Scott brown is a legend His stuff always sounds so clean even in the early days definitely one of the best to do it🏴
Agreed 🤙🏼
Absolutely legendary work! Can't believe some of those tunes got turned into absolute Hardcore bangers. Total and utter artistic talent.
Subbed as well. 90's Hardcore is the TITS!
Thank you for what you did! it pushed me to create my tracks in old school happy hardcore
Legend is our Scott
i love trying to recognise the song from the sample
@Rob riot I think back when these were produced, no clearances were obtained. The labels were too small with really no profit. However, today, may be a different story as some of the new re-released Evolution songs I've downloaded on Beatport have the more blatant rips removed from the song (for example, look at the re-release of Twilight Zone removes The Logical Song completely...Ghosts does the same thing for it's main breakdown).
Even though they are samples, Scott Brown made them so unique and memorable that most people wouldn’t even recognize these samples from their original songs.
Good job finding these! I had no idea on a lot of them apart from the obvious ones.
I agree that Scott Brown did some very creative and deep dive sampling. On top of having that unique sound of Evolution. Thanks for watching. I am working on both another Scott Brown Part 2 and another artist(s) in the series.
Good ol' Scott Brown!
Sweet Tee got sampled a lot it seems. Good stuff
Everyone a classic!
Been looking for this years. ❤
lots of interesting sources for his samples - scott really likes hip hop, rap, 2000s alt-rock, & army of darkness lol
Definition of Bad Boy got me into Scott Brown’s masterpiece and Happy Hardcore genre
Amazing mate makes you realise how good Scott brown really was looking forward to more
This is so good
This is outstanding, great work. Scott brown is the 🐐 absolute master of the art

Amazing producer!
i love this concept
This is brilliant, I love doing this in my head. More please
Thanks! I do have a Scott Brown Part 2 up on my channel, and I'm working on Brisk Part 1 (I'm behind, my actual work and family life has been very busy for the past month).
This is an awesome theme of videos for happy hardcore. I love hunting out samples. Keep it up!! 🥇😃🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🍻
This is class!!
Got 95% of these records and didn’t know half of these rips!! Brilliant work thanks.
Darkzone was a better use of the Method Man and Redman sample though.
Gracias Scott Brown 👌 cultura musical 😎💪
Excellent video
The Pilgrim one has blew my mind
Didn't realise they sampled the same rap that Fatboy Slim sampled for Gangster Tripping.
Nice To See All These sample's
Love it keep um coming :D
Genius!
Отлично, Красава! Надо каждого из олдскульных габберских музыкантов заставить так сделать. Молодец Скотт! Я помню мы в конце 90-х угадывали из какого фильма, чего вырезано на габбу, даже целый форум был в интернете.
Bass Generator Records.
That is one of my favourite Labels next to Jolly Roger Lite mostly for bassy g and technotrances stuff.
Some great tracks on Bass Generator, good shout 👍
THANK YOU people can make real music again with the classic inspiration
YAY I recognised the third one right from the outset of the sample! This was a really interesting video. :)
Also, "I Would Stay" by Krezip was also sampled in "Go Get Ill" by Buzz Fuzz and Prophet.
And the "Hustlers in Hardcore" sample was used by Chosen Few, I think...
Would love to see Part 2 of this!!
I apologize I never continued this series (2020 was a year...) but I have been formulating plans to get the second video (and more) out soon.
Cool video!
He’s a master
Brilliant video. Scott brown is hardcores no1
THIS IS SO DAMN COOL!!!
thanks for this!
Lol Scott Brown is like the Madlib of Hardcore, dope!
Just imagine what people are going to be able to make now that ai is beginning to be useful for making sound clips.
I can remember hearing Elysium for the first time. It was on H2bH vol. 4. Then I heard it a a rave that weekend and went nuts.
I got into HHC primarily through the H2BH series. Chapter 4 was actually my first purchased! Great list, My favorites are definitely 3, 4, 6 and 7.
@@randomeffekt5013 yeah mine too. Then I went back to buy the other volumes. Elysium is my fave HHC track, I also like Heart of gold.
Elysium was first HC track I loved aswell off a tape pack I borrowed it took months to find it, no Shazam back then, think I found it on a bonkers CD
hes og asf
Still am desperately hunting for the origin of the Elysium piano origins..
I don’t think the piano riff is sampled from anywhere. Seems like an original riff.
How the heck did you get them so well isolated!? Amazing work
Not sure exactly what you mean...but I was able to find some acapellas to use when I could, and I use a pretty basic DAW (Digital Audio Workspace) program to do the editing.
@@randomeffekt5013 i didnt think all the accapellas would be readily available for each one.... thought you may have isolated the accapella from the original sample and removed instrument. Still great video mate
@@timyoung2079 Yup, the rap acapellas are pretty easy to come by.
This was great.
I wonder if God's Child samples one of Jessie Jackson's speeches?
You are correct. I think it comes from Jesse Jackson at the Wattstax 1972, across many different points of that event. You can hear "brothers and sisters, I don't know what this world is coming to" here: czcams.com/video/DvOPqlExDqs/video.html
Also, you can hear what seems to be the [grunt] from Jackson in this video (at 2:06 which is linked) but he is actually saying "I am" czcams.com/video/NTVwT3j_zqY/video.html
I'm actually still trying to find exactly where Jackson says "God's Child"....
@@randomeffekt5013 that's the clip I randomly found a few years ago. Thanks for linking it. That had some of the familiar samples used in GC. But it doesn't have "God's Child". Though I imagine it's from one of his other speeches from that same time. Or possibly years later.
En la sala xque con una base y todo perfecto
Great video! I have a question, are artists aloud to take samples or do they have to have permission lol?
Yes, they should be clearing samples with the owners. However, for this far underground music with no real profit margins, I'm fairly sure many of these producers did not license the samples used.
Its amazing when something catches ya ear. I remember a seduction track on hardcore adrenaline, im coming up. Listed to it alot and only realised years later after hearing a pink track again its sampled im coming up im coming from that get the party started thing she released
What about part 2?
Thank you for watching and inquiring! I do want to get to Part 2 (and other artists). As with many people over the last nearly 2 years, life has been quite stressful and I'm still very new to this type of YT content...so finding the proper time has been a challenge with my work/family situation. I want any new content to be a great improvement over my first videos like this...I'm really hoping I can find some time over Christmas to produce a view videos.
