- We are officially getting our home ready for the holidays!! I always feel like a place doesn’t really feel like home until you cozy it up for winter and we are at a really good place right now to start filling it up with holiday decor. I have a few DIYs I wanna try out today and also we have to decorate So let’s make some ornaments, a wreath, gingerbread houses, and a window art!

We travel every Christmas, so our grandchildren can have Christmas at their own homes. So, a few years ago, when I just couldn't face getting all of our Christmas decor boxes down, I went to Dollar tree to buy decor to put out. I bought their plastic houses and painted them white, with glitter for snow. I also picked up the tiny village people and bottle brush trees. For my center piece on our dining table, I put down a very large cream colored tray, filled it full of epson salt and glitter, then arranged my Christmas "village." With added lights, it looks so magical! We put a four foot tree (that came in a pretty pot) on top of our side board, and we made gold glitter ornaments. I also found some pretty large gnomes on skis, so I set up a similar vignette on my foyer table, with epson salt snow and trees. Now I get the boxes down, and can have my house decorated in just a few hours!
The windows turned out whimsical and magical 😍👌🏼✨

You just gave me the best DIY tip I was looking for (since everything is warm white/snow/ice looking this year) I am gonna make the 2 circles with stars into my version. All painted white with salt added for the frosted look (and the littlest bit of white glitter) and then use snowflake ❄️ shapes instead of the stars ❤
