But it's in the border of Georgia and North Carolina. I live in North Tonawanda New York now. But I was only in South Carolina for 4& a 1/2 years . Then I relocated to North Tonawanda. My Mom wanted to put me in a group home 🏡. Yuck. I don't like it. The Assistant Manager who works with me. Her name is Jennifer like mine. And my Step Sister in law . I love Josh Turner... But why did you change the wording? The beauty of these songs are the story that comes from this song and the wording. I love it, but just wish you left the wording alone.

This was my first thought when listening. This is a classic song that doesn't need modernizing.
It does not matter. We can praise the Lord any way we want to, as we long as we glorify and put him first.
Personally, I'm happy with either a traditional version with thy and thou, but my church has younger people plus a number for whom their first language is not English, so it's better for them to have a modernized version.
