      You’ve got us Brits there, it’s all relative, and we rarely get extremes of weather.
      Mind you, come the Spring time, and we’re all in shorts and sandals supping iced cider in 21° , we get to laugh at Ozzie tourists shivering and whining coz they’re freezing!

  • @scriptorium-in-candelight

    You can find a way to be unhappy anywhere you go. You have shelter, warmth, a place to sleep and you have peace of being alone. I dont know why that feeling is happening where you have to explain everything, like your guilty of something. Even thought your not, Its a beautiful place and its not as bad as you think! maybe some clear glass on the door would be nice to let the outside in for a bit. I also want to be @ comfort in my own life....awesome video!!!

    I had a wonderful winter experience at the Wigan football stadium in early February 2019.
    We were on our way to Asda at 3am in the morning (for fresh bread) and the snow was falling so we stopped in the car park and I got to stand in the snow and do snow stuff, my wife is from Harlow and thought I was a fool for being out in it.
    It was the first time in my life that I had touched snow so it was very exciting.
    It was -4C overnight in Wigan and we had flown in from Perth, Australia 2 days earlier where it was high 30s, low 40s.

      I had the complete opposite experience. I imagined that Australia was always hot, that’s all you read about here. I left the UK to travel to Perth, WA, during a European heatwave, where people were dying due to the heat. Arrived in Perth, 3/8/2003. Next day, bought an electric blanket. Disappointed doesn’t cover it 🤣😂.

    As long as there is a good insulation, no condensation and sufficient heating, life on a boat is pretty nice. It has its limits, but living in a house also.

    • @narrowboatflorencerose4938
      @narrowboatflorencerose4938  Před rokem

      There is a phone app called open canal map planner, there are also hand books made by Collins for various canals, both show mooring spots, no where shows prices, the canal is free and only private or marinas will charge for mooring.

    • @narrowboatflorencerose4938
      @narrowboatflorencerose4938  Před 3 lety +5

      It is insulated but is the coldest part of the boat, I have seen boats with underfloor heating though and if I put all the boats heating on at the same time it does get very hot on hear, but good slippers are a must 😊

I do agree that foxes can be a problem and can see a need for population control but I still wouldn't wish such an unpleasant death on a living creature. It speaks volumes about the kind of person you are that you not only have that thought, but that you also see fit to air in in public.
