I just don't understand why both cliques hate each other: they're both from the low class. I remember Vance said that they were hanging out together, but when Townies framed Johnny, they became the worst enemies.
It's quite sad situation - they could be good friends.
They both come from a low class background yes,
But greasers are still school kids that think they are tough and cool,
Townies are dropouts who hate school kids, some of them used to be in school and got expelled or dropped out for whatever reasons.
Besides that, they hated each other before they framed Johnny and caused the school into chaos,
Gary convinced Edgar to turn everyone against each other promising Edgar revenge against the school and taking over it.
To me Gary was a total child,
I mean come on,
A teen taking over the school for what?

Anyway, even in real life people who come from a low class background doesn't mean they can be friends.
@@VeteransoloSadly this is very true, Back in 6th grade, The MS13 were at constant battle with bloods and Latin kings for turf and personal reasons. They were kids so there wasn’t too much killing but I remember a friend of my sister killed a random black guy TO JOIN THE MS13, I’ll never understand why he did it but I think to this day hes still in prison.

Actually Townies are way stronger than both Bullies and Preps, without Russell, Derby and Bif they’re pretty much done for, meanwhile Townies are all equally powerful and don’t need to rely on stronger members to win.

Preps have the best fighting styles, but it seems they do less damage with their hits, to make the clique tier list balances since greasers are apparently better than the preps.
