Honestly onew did the right thing. It is extremely dangerous to do proper chest compressions on a person who does not need it. It has been known for ribs to break while doing compressions

yes! I am a certified er doctor and it is VERY dangerous to do it on a living person. it can put their heartbeat/pulse out of rhythm causing arrhythmia which is deadly
I think it's the cameraman and the director's fault. Obviously, it's hard to do a realistic cpr without hurting the receiver. The director should have chosen an angle that could make it look better

Onew did the right thing because you cant take CPR is the simplest thing. I am scout for almost 10 years and I learnt about CPR and the terms about CPR.
I think those who criticized Onew does not know anything about CPR. I went for training and my instructor says that you would rather break the person's ribs to save their life. However, this is a drama and people don't realize that CPR should not be performed on a healthy, normal person(obviously) as it can harm them. It wasn't like the person was a mannequin.

Onew is too kind for his own good, he's a literal angel... the table moved when he did a somewhat real cpr, and if he did it with too much force for the sake of looking real the background actor's rib might be fractured which is dangerous... i swear people rrally likes to nitpick the bad things first before thinking it through and see the reason behind said action

on the side note, he's such a good actor. i still feel like crying whenever i see his face on broadcasts bcos his scenes are the main reason why rewatching dots is so heartbreaking to me.

The man legit made me cry so much, he was my favorite character and his acting was really amazing people literally have no eye for talent plus he did a hard role and he is an idol actor so we love a multitalented king! STAN TALENT STAN SHINEE!!

Director and editors should've done a better job at doing that, a ton of doctor shows usually use mannequins or do the same as Onew. You can hurt someone ribs and injure them.

He did a great job as an actor role in “Descendants of the Sun” Onew was funny and the role as a doctor when faces crisis yes he played it excellent, in reality as a doctor looking at life and death, he is going try to save lives, this is the first time ever losing a patient, yes he did excellent as an actor for his role in this series, I give him 100% plus ratings

I wasn't into Kpop when I saw that drama and I really cried alot with him. He was that good. Then I watched Hwarang adnd Minho caught my attention,, One day I was watching Hawarng cast interview and Park SeoJun mentioned SHINee is the best then I got to know Minho is from a group then I discovered SHINee and Then I realized the doctor I loved in DOTS was Onew from SHINee and the actor that I loved in Hwarang was Minho from SHINee and that day and this day I'm a SHAWOL

I just realized that Chang Min may see this and find out that Taemin simply didn't want to go 😂 As for the comments on Onew's acting, it wasn't his fault. I know everyone's saying it, but I'll say it too. It would be dangerous if he did the real thing. You saw how hard he did it on the table. He's actually pretty strong. Did the directors or cameramen not see that in the final cut or something? This "incident" suggests a few things. Either his performance was so good that no one really noticed, which was how it was for me lol I never noticed until now, or the people behind the camera were too careless.

I tend to remember faces but not names. I was watching the drama with my friend and as soon as I saw him I was like: "wow! This guy is freakingly handsome but why do I feel like I've seen him before?" She told me he was a member of Shinee. That's when I realized he was Onew. I kept my eyes on him throughout the first episode then I fell so hard that I kept waiting for his scenes in every episode. His acting was incredible and this scene brought me to tears.
