Seeing Eric made my day! Love the guy. I think Joey found Ken Kelly by book cover, same way i found Manowar by seeing Ken Kelly cover of Warriors of the World dvd on record store once upon a time. The one with hilarious Olli meets Manowar :D Did not dare to buy it first but it made such an impact that i had to find out more really soon after that

Fighting the world
I wish I had some epic story of seeing a Manowar album for sale at a record store and thus a lifelong love of the band was formed. I'm almost 50 years old, and unfortunately, I didn't discover the band until a few years ago. What a travesty, I know. But the US radio system sucks so bad that they refuse to play ANY song from Manowar. It makes no sense.
Anyways, I had recently been let go from my job at that time and I was extremely depressed. I don't even recall what I was searching for on CZcams, but it was late night and I trolling random music videos. I somehow stumbled upon Battle Hymn. That song changed my life. I still struggle with depression some, but now when it gets too difficult, I will play the entire Battle Hymns album to help lift my spirits. I do own the entire Manowar catalogue now, but that album really resonates with me.

Amazing and exciting story!
I'm from Russia, and I first heard Manowar on audio cassette in 1986, when our country was still called the USSR. It was the Sign Of The Hammer album! I still feel the delight that this wonderful music awakened in my heart!
Manowar was incredibly popular in the USSR. The name of the group, written in a corporate font, could be seen on school notebooks, on walls and desks. 😊
And now in Russia Manowar is one of the most beloved bands.
I have collected all of Manowar's albums on LP and CD, as well as all of the band's DVDs. I’ll tell you that even now, almost 40 years later, every touch and every listening to the immortal works of Manowar is a holiday and great pleasure!
