- Once-a-month grocery haul day for our family of 7! Yay! I headed to Sam’s Club, Aldi, Walmart, and Meijer. A few things were missing… like diapers 😳, but I think we did pretty good. Come shopping with me!!

They officially stopped selling the 10¢ bags at our Aldi about a month ago (I’m in California so we have to buy our plastic bags or bring our own). Carrying out groceries in paper bags is rough! I learned my lesson and will never forget my reusables again 😅

Freaking love this one! Omg great video. Your commentary is gold. Also my dad always swears by homemade popcorn. I bought my husband a popcorn machine last year and we make fresh every Sunday for the week. It’s amazing. Then we just add what seasoning, if any, that we want!
I had a Chinese roommate when I was in college, and she told me she liked to plant sprouted garlic in a pot on the windowsill. She would snip the leaves like you'd snip chives, and use them in stir fries and in spring rolls.
Watching these hauls is always the highlight of my month 😊
Little secret to making your popcorn taste great. Use a blend of coconut and canola oil to pop it in. That is what movie theaters use in their commercial poppers. 😉

Here's a Popcorn tip for You. When you cook your bacon, save some of the grease. Use it instead of oil when you make your popcorn, it gives it a Yummy flavor!!!
My parents were too poor to buy the lifesaver books for the Xmas exchange at our school…it was the only time it was possible to get one, if my classmate secret Santa bought it to give away! I never got one! As a therapist at a children’s bereavement center, Olivia’s House, I make sure that all the children get a lifesaver book at our “Holly Jolly Holiday Party”! It makes my heart sing to know that each child is treated to one! 💕
I love going grocery shopping with you. It's kinda my thing to grocery shop so yours are fun for me. I haven't shopped at Meijer but we do have one in our town. I might go look around and see what they have. Thanks for posting your fun shopping at Sam's Club and Aldi because shop there too.

Hi. I must say…..Wright bacon is by far the best bacon I’ve ever had. I bake it in the oven for 35 minutes. Nice hauls.
I love Wright bacon too. I have not bought any in a long time because the price got way too high. The pieces are nice and thick and often fairly meaty. Aldi has a similar bacon (cut the way Wright's it) that I also enjoy when the price is right. Lately, all the bacon has been just so pricey.
White popcorn is the 👌 best. Always interesting to see your USA prices vs my Canadian prices

Lauren you need to try pork chops with apple sauce and cheese , you cook your chops as normal then put some apple sauce on top and some slices of cheese and grill it's yummy xx
Shockingly the captain crunch would definitely last in my house. My kids aren’t really fans of cereal. It does give me my childhood vibes though Oops All Berries.

Cereals here are expensive! You would never get a 2 pack for the price you got on those cereals here😢 it's a shame as I always wanted to try lucky charms😢😅
I noticed recently on social media, people say some stores just don't provide bags but other stores do. That's interesting because some places make laws for stores providing bags or not, or some stores are just really serious about no plastic bags and they let customers know why they only have paper bags.

Great shopping haul. I saw a guy in a video the other day who was talking about the garlic in the stores. Apparently, according to this guy, a lot of store garlic is grown in China. They grow it in sewage and then bleach it several times to turn it snow white. He said to choose the garlic that's grown in Gilroy, CA. Just passing along what I saw. I can't verify anything.

All of my kids will be in school in the Fall. My baby starts Kindergarten. 😭
I told my husband that I am excited though that they all will be in school bc I'll be able to go to a few more grocery stores including sam's club which is like an hour away or so from us.
I'm gonna go to Aldi too it's in another town, but like 20/30 mins away.
I feel like I'll be able to meal plan and shop a bit better. Like have more options than just our Kroger and small Walmart (not a supercenter kind)

I am not sure if you are still planning to do a Korean recipe for your next live, but the Gotchu sauce you bought is actually the prepared hot sauce and not the ingredient Gochujang. The hot sauce you bought is actually quite tasty and depending on your recipe, it might still be fine, just a bit more spicy, tangy, & runny. Gochujang the ingredient is a thick paste and has very few added ingredients. It usually comes in a red square shaped plastic box. Think of the difference between Tabasco sauce and tomato paste (although the Korean paste is more flavorful than plain tomato paste would be).
Definitely bought the wrong thing. I found the right ingredient! 😊

That’s to bad about the meat cutter. You better believe the policy is to put the saw back together and cut it. I can tell you that because during the day I’m the head cook in a high school but 4 nights a week I work in a meat department of a well known grocery store. Although we hate to cut on clean equipment near closing we do it.
They did put it together last time. This time not so much. 😢

It’s just based on where I can get the best price or the best product. Many items are better priced at Meijer or better quality.

They're used in a lot of our Mexican restaurants around here 💝
