He says he has only been singing since his senior year in high school. For some reason I see a little Bruce Springsteen in him. He also is a multi instrumentalist and co-writes the songs. BTW, just a quick note to say he is also an amazing gymnast!

Another unique song of benson Boone is “slow it down”. I would really appreciate your comments on this song to help me appreciate it even more. Or the 2004 rock and roll hall of fame performance of while my guitar gently weeps. His solo st the end puts those other amazing musicians on stage with him look silly. Lol. Thanks always. The guy was training to be on the diving team and also acrobatic gymnastics. Maybe the strength of his core and diaphragm helped him to have that AMAZING voice?
Would really like to hear him sing an entire song without the assumed vocal affectation. I really like the songs, just not a big fan of the fake "lisp" technique.

I wonder if he has tight vibrato because he was never vocally trained? It's very cool - I don't think powerful vocalists typically have tight vibrato.
