I should have gotten a shade darker but it also didn't blend well with my skin type because of the formula. if it was more dewy, i could have made it work.

If your dry and u know your putting on a MATTE foundation why not apply primer oil or moisturizer ...I mean that's why they make them ...my opinion tho

When people with dry, sand paper-like skin don't moisturize properly prior to applying a mattifying product. 👀
ThickStick it’s all about prepping your skin. I’ve seen many reviews with people who have dry skin. I don’t have dry skin but i like to study many skin types and based off of my knowledge you need to really hydrate your skin using either an oil or a really hydrating primer when using matte products if you have dry skin. Some people who have dry skin i would recommend mixing in the your oil with the foundation to kind of loosen up the product and to elongate the drying time since the fenty foundation drys very quickly. Aaliyah failed to prep her skin properly for this review and lacked research
Do yall have a timestamp for when she said she didn't use moisturizer cause from what I can see her face looked well prepped to me🤷🏾♀️. Also if you have to put on serums and essential oils just to make a foundation work then you doin too much. I've seen plenty of dry girls RAVE about the loreal infallible pro matte foundation and they didn't have to hop on one foot while rubbing falcon tears on their face to make it work. Maybe Fenty should be more honest with their marketing and leave this foundation for the oily girls while coming up with a new formula for the dry ones.
ThickStick or maybe you should use critical thinking skills to decipher that certain skin types just don't mesh with the product? Has nothing to do with the brand itself, but skin texture, application, and products used PRIOR TO have so much to do with the end result. Are you that dense?

Well as a dark toned woman Rihanna came thru with us while other brands still dont get our shades right. So I find it funny people can swing from Kim K's nuts and promote every other brand even Maybelline but when it comes to us even using Iman make up woc wont. Smh but still cant find their damn shades and be looking ten times too light or makeup looks like theater makeup. Atleast her line gives a natural cover. I think the makeup looks super flawless on your face. Definitely not as oily as the other products you'd use but as an experienced MUA I'd expect you to check if the products are matte or dewy so you'd know if you should moisturize before applying primer (since you have dry skin). I just feel like you didn't buy the right shades for your skin.

I think she reviewed it because it says the product is universal. She just wanted to test it and see if it was really universal as it claims to be. It's matte but a soft matte.. So if you would've moisturized your skin beforehand, I think you would've liked it more. Please try it that way and update us on Snapchat! Either way, you did look great at the end 💞 oh and you're right.. That highlight brush is awesome for contour

This line is DEFINITELY meant to take us back to the basics of makeup....enhancing. So yes if you like the hard beat you naturally wouldn't care for this line. I agree with others when they say this foundation is your best match. Love it on you!!!! I think you should try hydrating and moisturizing well and giving us another review of the foundation just to be one hundred about it.

Products are different for everyone. They can't really tell you how any product is going to work with your skin. I don't know why people think they can test makeup through other people. They could all hate it and it could work beautifully on your skin. Take reviews with a grain of salt.

the foundation and match stix are supposed to be dry... that's why it's MATTE. it's supposed to look natural and not shiney on your skin.
You said 20x the products were drying yet you still set it with translucent powder that confused me and you seem like you were downing it but it looks good ASF on your face not once did you look patchy or anything I just think you should of prep your face differently since you know you have dryskin and the MATTE products wouldn't have felt so "dry"

Wait sis I just realized you used a matte primer and matte foundation and didn't moisturize when you have dry skin? Did you try using it with uh.. moisturizing primer? Either way I really liked how the highlighter and lip gloss looked on you. Even with your dry skin complaint this shit looked gorgeous on camera.

I've heard do many positive reviews on the fenty beauty products & I think for me that they would be absolutely fabulous because I have extremely oily skin. But I absolutely appreciateyour honest & sincere review. It looked scary at first but once the foundation set in and you contoured and highlight it actually looked good!! Yu just that talented turned it into everything!!
Sis I love you but it's annoying as an influencer you didn't do your research. It has a 30 second dry down time.... you cannot dab it on your face and then blend out. You have to work in sections. It dries down fast so you get a perfect match. With the SPONGE which is not a "beauty blender" beauty blender is a brand not a tool... the instructions say to press and roll or sweep. You were dabbing it so it was absorbing all the product because you were using it wrong. I love and support you so much but as you grow I want you to do better.
