He brought a funny side to his villain, but he was scary at times. He literally killed Jiwon like...FIRST EP. He tries to hit her every chance he can when he feels challenged. She was SCARED of him. He was very abusive. Sunmi is terrible, for sure, but the only reason he wasn't worse to her is because she knew how to play him. And the actor knew how to play the part of being dumb, scary and ludicrous. As the actress could play the part of venomous, seductive and manipulative.
