watched this yesterday but came back just to say that i'm loving the content. this is exactly the kind of content ive been looking for in D&D
Just a recommendation when starting a zero to hero on a character that currently has gear: Put all valuables in stash, start a game, and leave, and you'll get all the starting items as if you died. In this instance, you would've saved 42g. Although I feel I should also point out that all junk quality gear that is purchasable/findable in-game is better quality than the poor grade starter gear. So it's arguably worth buying a better rapier than the starter, but probably not the instruments. Hope this helps with future gameplay! I don't mean to judge or nitpick the way you play the game, just wanted to share some knowledge and hopefully help people save a little bit of gold.

Yami I just have to say, from watching your video alone I picked up a few tricks on bard. I never thought of using the enhanced performance to skip notes, and that shocked me when I was able to rip multiple buffs before a fight even started while just preparing for it. Solid video.

Do you prefer survival bow over crossbow (teams vs solo). Also, Do you have a different song prio for solo vs duos vs teams?
i like using survival bows in solos against every class besides plate fighters/clerics. In teams I’d prefer crossbows for the armor pen. Songs are a lil diff from solo to teams where in solos i take buffs that only affect me like ballad of courage, but in teams i pick chorale of clarity if my team has a wizard or cleric. It really depends on what you want and what ur team wants!

Pro tip if the speaker in your character portrait goes away that means your VOIP is off bc nobody is near you but also if it hasn't been on for a couple minutes most likely means you are last alive

I wanna see more bard but I want to know your reasoning in a play by play format how you decide to do what you do. I win mechanics fights easy, but make very poor decisions in the moment.

Bard guide coming when? Btw would love to see a wizard zero to hero. Been maining wizard through thick and thin since pt2 and would enjoy seeing you give it a shot. We got a buff so that now the class feels viable and not just walking loot bags (the amount of people crying about it is insane when imo and all the people I chat with this is the best the games felt in a really long time with each class feeling strong [the only thing i would change is make vigor affect warlocks magical healing scaling as a little buff] and all my buddies agree....although ones a cleric main and the other two are ranger and fighter mains...and of course the little bro I got the game is a edgy rogue main 😂 ). I would suggest budget 9 spell but meditate or intense focus are the safe routes but you could also be a chad arcane shield ignite rondel/sword chad. How does the "spell memory" work when choosing songs? There are so many songs but you can usually only use 4 maybe 5, why would you have the need for a second memory slot if it costs too much when wearing green/blue gear?
Get gear / take perks to boost knowledge / spell memory, should almost always take double spell memory
What songs do you use going into trios? I've found a lot of the songs don't seem to apply to the group? Just yourself?
it depends what ur team wants! if ur team is spell casters like wiz and cleric u should always pick up chorale of clarity, some other good ones are allegro/accelerando. The must haves for teams are rousing rhythms/harmonic shield

Holy shit I needed this, I have wanderer rank on every class, but bard. I have found him the most difficult to learn & decided to give up trying him.
Also you could have just gone naked in normal & exit out. You would have gotten a fresh set of instruments.

Btw you dont need an arming sword/falchion to break the boxes. Just throw your drum at them twice and theyll break.

i love bard but it gets tedious rebuffing constantly after an hour or 2. i miss being 50% pdr with 105% movespeed WITH WEP AND SHIELD OUT! lol
Do you ever have a problem where you skip a note (with the perk that still makes it perfect) but the song still doesn’t play? Happens like 20% of the time for me
you might’ve not gotten past the threshold where you need to get the minimum amount of perfect notes played for it to play the song is what i’m thinking, not sure tho 🤔sometimes i put away the instrument too quickly before the song plays and it doesn’t play for me either

utility gloves also make you insane, rogues got their dex nerfed and between that and loremaster you get 40% regular interaction bonus bard is door opening king

u coulda for sure spaced that Fighter at the end of the first run, aslong as he doesnt throwing axe u down, rapier with fully buffed bard does wonders its crazy
oh and if u got the proper gear, id like to see u play melee wizard haha its funny cause noone expects u to excel in melee
yeah unfortunately i got hit with both franny axes which put me down to a low health where i wasn’t comfortable fighting him :( i never heard of melee wizard but i’m sure i’ll make a vid about it in the future!!!

Dexterity seems to scale your song speed wayyy faster this wipe than agility did last wipe. That pendant was like the best thing you could have found lol, I gotta run more wanderer's luck XD. Also bard aint OP this wipe, several nerfs over time has made his kit kinda lacking for solo. You're lucky you didnt face many plate fighters cause thats all I seem to find
Yea I feel like survival bow + true dmg + movespeed is the play against fighters, that’s all I fight too. Trying to 1v1 almost any class without hitting them a few times with survival bow feels impossible with these nerfed stats. Especially when fighter can get almost max speed twice a minute and also have second wind. Doable but very hard. Also rogues are back to being scary af

Wanderers is worthless in HR, u can look at the datamined chest tables on the wiki at different luck values
Dex scales manual dex the same, 3% per point, however bard has default 15% now which is awesome, our default before was 0%

I think getting better instruments wasn’t that big of a deal. Majority of stat rolls will basically do nothing and there’s only a few food rolls that’ll help when playing songs. What rolls do you look for in instruments?
I play pretty much exclusively bard and only look for memory capacity for the most part so I can bin off knowledge from the rest of my kit in exchange for strength/vigor/agi

this video confused me, i was wondering how you had both song sheets after the change lol. rip song sheets w/o needing an entire armor set to run both sheets. good video though, the rng to find your class items is insane. w.e class i play i never find items for my class.
most of the time i just manifest to get lucky and i do! I also don’t like taking any other skill besides the 2nd music sheet because i find every other skill to be so underwhelming and i’m playing high roller so i’m bound to find something with knowledge or memory cap bonus!

The first fighter only hit so hard because slayer is bugged and works with shields. But it will be patched soon.

It’s funny you stated u are experienced bard and did not know dex makes u play faster. I stacked dex and str on my solo bard with some movement speed and now I can graze through pve

Let me explain what's happening here. This is a person who should be well beyond pathfinder matched up against Neophytes.. It looks easy... but it would no matter what class it is vs people with very little experience.

Bards good until u reach wanderer+, the matchmaking puts you in much harder lobbies at that point, i went from like 95% extraction to like 50%, u start seeing how bard isn't really the best at anything and is at a surprising disadvantage against most classes, I say this as a top 40 GC bard (currently pathfinder 3)
Especially against plate fighters which make up like 50% of lobbies at that rank, almost nothing we can do, and u didnt run into any in the video
Also wanderers luck perk is absolute garbage in HR if u look at the wiki datamined calculations on the good chests, makes epics go from like a 30% chance to a 31% chance
I respect the shit out of the survival bow gameplay though, I love to see people using it, i think people are sleeping on it cuz of how OP crossbow is, but a purple survival for 50g that's basically a machine gun is exactly what the class needs against bad matchups

Just too much micromanagement. Maybe if the buffs lasted longer. Or reduce instruments to only one, seems over complicated too compared to other classes.
