- Hey Equestrian Gamers! Today we're checking out Wild Horse Islands biggest update yet: Foals!! The update is absolutely amazing! We are also seeing who Isabella is going to be bred with and what her foal looks like

@Updates Breeding & Foals Update!
Breeding
- Talk to Francine in the Mainland Breeding Centre & choose "I want a foal!"
- Select a Mare and Stallion which are able to breed (horses that cannot be bred will be greyed out, you can still click them to move forward but will not be able to breed them)
- Once both are selected, you can see a list of possible outcomes.
- The cost to breed can be found at the bottom of the menu
-- The cost is determined by how rare the parents are. Common horses are very cheap to breed, but rare horses are very expensive (range from 150 to 5,500 tokens)
-- Breeding two horses with the same coat doubles the cost to breed them.
Requirements/Cooldowns
- Horses need 25 bond to breed
- No stat requirement
- You can breed once every 5 minutes
- Horse breeding cooldowns range from 12 hours to 3 days, totally dependant on how rare they are. Common horses have shorter cooldowns than rare horses!
-- The closer to 100 friendliness the horse is, the shorter its cooldown will be! at 100/100 friendliness, the cooldown is 25% shorter
- You cannot breed foals or event horses
Possible Outcomes
- Foals can be a direct match of either parent, OR a mix of the two. Here are some examples:
-- White Quarter Horse & Liver Chestnut Friesian possible outcomes:
--- White Quarter Horse
--- Liver Chestnut Friesian
--- White Friesian (CROSS COAT!)
--- Liver Chestnut Quarter Horse (CROSS COAT!)
- Bred foals will always be a cross breed between the two parents (I.e., Quarter Horse/Friesian), with the first name in the cross being the body they will look like as an adult (Quarter Horse/Friesian will look like a Quarter Horse, but a Friesian/Quarter Horse will look like a Friesian)
- 6 "special" coats which are ONLY obtained through breeding! These require specific parent combinations to create, and are very rare to obtain!
- When breeding rare horses, you have a chance to obtain a random common coat from the rare horse breed. This is to make rare horses slightly more difficult to breed, to help with the economy issues that breeding can create!
- Outcome chances are decided entirely by the rarity of the parent horses. When breeding a Quarter Horse with a Friesian, you're more likely going to get a Quarter Horse than a Friesian. This applies to breed and coat!
- You have a 1-2% chance of obtaining a mismatched foal (natural tail colour being different than natural mane colour). The parents being mismatched has no effect on this chance.
Foals
- BABY HORSES
- Filly = Female & Colt = Male
- Can only wear Halters
-- we may allow them to wear accessories in a later update
- You can obtain foals via breeding, shop, herds, and by using a "Forever Foal Potion" on an adult horse
-- You can only buy foals from the Mainland Breeding Centre, hogan's locations do not sell foals
- Foals take a maximum of 5 hours to become an adult
-- You can speed this us significantly by taking care of your foal (doing assigned tasks for it)
--- The more assigned tasks you do for your foal, the higher its stats will be once it's an adult!
-- Foals do not need to be anywhere specific to grow, as long as you are online, they will grow! (can be in stall, pasture, inventory, storage locker, etc!)
- Foals earn 2x bond (unless permanent foal)
- Foals CAN be traded, up until they're very close to being full grown (within 10 mins)
- You cannot see foal stats
- You cannot style foal hair, however you CAN dye it!
-- You also cannot see the foal's natural hair style until it is an adult (edited)

- Forever Foal Potion
-- Can be used to keep your horse a foal, permanently.
-- You can use it on adults to make them a foal, as well. This means you can get any horse you want, as a foal.
-- Can be purchased from Francine's shop for Robux.
-- Can be traded
-- Consumed on use
- Growth Potion
-- Can be used on a foal to turn them into an adult, immediately.
-- Can be purchased for tokens in Francine's shop.
-- Can be traded
-- Consumed on use
- Gender Swap Potion
-- Can be used to swap your horses gender between Colt/Stallion & Filly/Mare
-- Only obtained as a rare reward from Treasure Chests
-- Can be traded
-- Consumed on use
Horse Purity
- All horses have a Purity rating, visible with their stats.
- Purity rating is determined by what % of the horse's lineage matches the horse's dominant breed.
-- For example, a Quarter Horse with a lineage of 6 Quarter Horses, 2 Friesians, and 2 Appaloosas, would be have 60% Purity.
- Currently, Purity does not affect the outcome of breeding. Only the direct parents determine the foal's breed and colours/hair.
- Horses obtained from the shop or wild have a random purity, but horses from herds have 100% purity.
- Horses obtained before this update are given a randomized purity rating, ranging from 50% to 95%
Other
- Added "Purity" and "Rarity" inventory sorts for horses
- There are achievements for both foals bred and foals grown
- There are badges for foals bred
- Wild Mode has received some changes, you can now access it without riding your horse, the toggle will appear on your screen even when the horse is following you, as long as you are allowed to enter wild mode on that island.
-- This allows you to enter Wild Mode as a foal!
- Optimized Lasso FX when in Low Quality mode (hopefully helps with the lag some experience when using a lasso)
- Fixed bug that made Easter Baskets not display on Mustangs
- Reorganized the horse stat page, you can now see them in a horizontal list, making them larger and easier to see. (edited)

Patch - In all servers (migration takes up to 15 mins)
- if a horse is on a breeding cooldown, you will see how long until they can breed again in their stats list ()
- reset existing cooldowns and adjusted how they work a bit.
- fixed chance column of breeding menu not adding up to 100% (just a visual bug)
- made cross-coat chance higher
- made random common coat chance lower
- new item: "Foaling Voucher"
-- you can opt to use this when breeding horses, doing so makes breeding FREE and applies NO COOLDOWN to either parent. (does not remove existing cooldowns)
-- when used, there is also no 5 minute cooldown to breed again.
-- 1 time use
-- can be obtained from treasure or Francine's shop in a 5 pack.

Ok, but who else agrees Trick and Kavelleri are some of the best devs ever? They listen to the community, Fix bugs, update often, interract with fans. And the game in no way is pay to win- yes, some horses are very rare, but even a basic quarter horse Can be styled up very pretty. Amzing game.

Okay is you have mixed foals and the body doesnt turn out how you wanted it too you can mix it with what you want the body to be and you get a higher chance of getting the coat and body you want
Plus if (for example) you mix a arabian/friesian + arabian the foal will just be arabian
I actually got a special foal and its super cute. Its a chocolate dapple paint/friesian

Hey Bailey! You need to be on your island or RP island. When the foal is following you there's a 'wild mode' button on the left hand side of your screen

I sadly traded away 2 gender swap potions, since i didn't know their value/rarity. when i was newer, i was super lucky with chests, not anymore.

Gosh, sorry but I have no idea. Sounds like a connection problem but I'm not very tech savvy. When I have issues I just turn it off for a while and hope it fixed itself when I turn it back on

I'm trying to collect all mustangs with the buckskin coat, so far I've collect one with a black mane, one with white, one with grey, one with dark grey, one with palomino, and one with light chestnut
Can anyone tell me which mane colors I'm missing from this list
If I bred a grey fri and a liver chestnut fri for example, is it possible for it to end up as a white fri? Or would it only be possible for it to be a grey or liver fri?
There is a chance of getting 'common coat'. I think this may apply to the white coat as well but not 100% sure

Update: I bred a clyde and an appa and got a beautiful stallion clyde with the appa's coat!! (i also bred my buckskin tobiano with a qh and got a beautiful buckskin qh!) Planning to breed a black overo with a chestnut tb :)

You can catch them on any island except rp and find them in stores, they are a lot more rare then other breeds. Easiest way is keep checking the stores
