Hairspray is a musical with music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Shaiman, and a book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan, based on the 1988 John Waters film.

There are some powerful voices in this production!!! Everyone was absolutely AWESOME but Miss Motormouth took it home!!!!!
The gal playing Maybelle literally gave me chills with her powerful singing. She blew me away!

this is a truly impressive performance overall, but why is Tracy dressed like a 60 year old veteran actress winning a guest star Emmy??
In every production Tracy is always portrayed as a heavy set big haired young lady . I personally think that Berklee College of Music's production is one of the best that I have seen

Why are the costumes so bad? This is a musical and set in the 60s everything should be bright and fun colored. Not dressed like 2020 and like everyone is going to a funeral!!!
