Everybody is talking about Ran Takahashi's offensive prowess but his defensive capabilities are on a different level. Playing Japan is like playing a team with 3 liberos (Yamamoto, Ishikawa and Ran) and 3 setters ( Ran, Ishikawa and Sekita). This by far is the best team Japan has ever assembled.
Japan is undeniably the best team to watch. The amalgram of emotions you'll feel everytime they play is unexplainable. They're very hardworking and passionate and it shows. More power, Team Japan!
True, there's a huge difference between best team to watch vs best team in the world. Japan is indeed far from No.1 but the way they overcome their height disadvantages is just getting better and entertaining of course. They're some real humble and hardworking players
I love that their offense has become more balanced. No longer relying on just 1 or 2 players to score. Others pick up when one player is struggling. And more importantly their MBs really stepped up for this game. They are a joy to watch every single time.

Yuji Nishida has a spectacular showing today compared to the game against Iran.He did play cleverly as expected of him that he'll bounce back with better results. Kentaro Takahashi and Taishi Onodera also showed us RJN MB full force today. Furthermore, Yuki Ishikawa, Ran Takahashi, Masahiro Sekita, and Tomohiro Yamamoto are all equally stunning and amazing. We love them for that.
The trio - Yuji, Yuki and Ran showed up in full glory today. Yamamoto and Sekita were also brilliant. Credit also to coach Philip Blain for his master plan! Gambatte Nippon, best wishes from Malaysia!
Kentaro at some point had like 10 attack points with 100% attack in percentage. Idk the how was it at the end, but that's kinda impressive. Not only that he's attacking well but also it means that the reception and defense is lit.

Masahiro Sekita's incredible setting performance is very meritorious.Yuji with 24 pts,Yuki with 17pts ,and Ran with 15pts.all scoring in double digits. It's always joy to watch Japan playing. They're awesome. Very fast in their moves and seems flying when they spikes. They share their all smiles even when tired. That cute smiles coming always from Ishikawa and Ran Takahashi are the best smiles and I love it very much ha ha.
If Japan had all the same height as Brazil, the USA they would always be on the top of the fivb ranking. those floor defense is SUPERB!!

there was a set in which sekita managed to catch the ball, before it fell to the ground, in the same way that ishikawa does with his foot. Different shots, but the same ways of receiving the ball. it was an incredible coincidence, especially being on sets that highly influenced Japan's victory. I love watching this team play. Sad that shot isn’t in this video, it was amazing to watch

There's no MVP in the team Japan all played their role brilliantly, Yamamoto digged a loooot of super hard punches ball from Serbia, the Setter Sekita sending the ball for all hitters very well, Kentaro gave a fresh air on the 3rd and 4th game which was nice his blocks and middle attack made Japan having so much options when they were on the attacking mode, Nishida even though some of his serve stucked on the net or out, but still he has the magic hands, Ran, Onodera and Yuki also played well.... Great great team work!!! Superb guys 🔥🔥 🎉🎉
