- Willie Nelson and the Boys perform Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die virtually at Farm Aid 2020 On the Road on September 26.
Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

I hope that Farm Aid supports regenerative agriculture. Modern farming practices that douse dirt with artificial pesticides and fertilizers are extremely detrimental to healthy soil. ORGANIC COMPOST CAN SAVE THE WORLD. It's more labor intensive but you can more than double your output!! It feels good to have a close relationship with Mother Earth.
