    Looks like a lot of fun! I want to visit San Diego sometime and now I put Little Italy on my list of things to see while there. Loved the pics of the sea lions and seals, plus Patricia's little pup was too die for cute!! Enjoyed the video ❤️

    I was wondering about the 2x tele on the 50-140. I'm trying to look for whatever examples I can before I decide to purchase. Thanks for including those awesome pics and thanks for making quality videos.

    I love beach photography. Great pictures and fun areas to walk around. Those two at the end look so chill :)

    Another great video, you guys! Love your style of shooting. I'm going to have to check out Little Italy there in San Diego.

      Thanks Geoff. Little Italy had a lot of character. We debated going there, but I'm happy we did. Definitely you should check it out.

    Hi Danae and Andrew ! I really like your channel/videos. After watching your videos, I decided to purchase Fuji X-t2 instead of sony a7r II. I love my Fuji yeahh.

    Can you please give a review on the 2x teleconverter?

    Great video... did the teleconverter impact the focus speed at all? Was it Abe to still lock on to your subjects quickly while using it?

    Beautiful video (as always)! Could you please tell us a bit about how the 50-140 fared with the 2x converter? How does the combo fare regarding handling (IS good enough with twice the focal length?) and image quality?

      Volker Jansen good questions. I wonder, also, why the battery booster grip is never used, even with a big (ish) lens like the 50-140, which might balance it rather well.

      Thanks Volker. Our x-t2 crashed a lot when we were shooting with the 2x converter during this shoot. But later that evening, when it wasn't as hot, I didn't seem to have any issues with it on the beach. So I'm wondering if it had to do with the heat earlier in the day. I also keep forgetting to update the firmware in it, so maybe that would have helped. Aside from the crashing (which I'm still not positive was the fault of the teleconverter) I loved it. If it has vignetting, I didn't notice. Of course, in low light it doesn't perform well. You can see in those later photos that there is a lot more smoothing (to deal with the high iso) than I would have liked. But I'll trade that for getting in really really close. As far as IS, it seemed good. I haven't specifically tested that, but didn't notice a huge difference between with or without the 2x converter. Autofocus was very reliable.

    great video guys, do you guys retouch all the pictures or you u tend to shoot jpgs for youtube? I bought an xt-2 as well and I find myself using lightroom less and less, the jpgs out of the camera are fantastic

    • @AndrewGoodCamera
      @AndrewGoodCamera  Před 7 lety +2

      Our post processing on these images was limited to color and curves only. I think one or two may have been cropped. The only time we shoot JPG is at events where we need to turn them around fast for social media. Otherwise, always raw. But mostly that's just risk management and because I really love post processing photos. I would have full confidence in x-t2's jpg output otherwise (especially in classic chrome).

    Great pictures. Love some of the beach pictures in the end a lot. I have a specific question regarding the Fuji telephoto lenses. I sometimes do some bit of bird and animal photography while travelling. The 100-400 is obviously great for it but comes with big bucks. I am thinking if the 55-200 can help me in 80% of my Bird/animal photography needs. I hope it is not an unfair question

    • @AndrewGoodCamera
      @AndrewGoodCamera  Před 7 lety +1

      I'm not sure we're the best to ask, since we don't do a whole lot of wildlife photography (just here and there). Since we mostly do portraiture, the 50-140 works great when we put the 2x teleconverter on it for those rare times we do wildlife. Best of luck.

      Neerav Naik While the 55-200 is an excellent lens, so many birds were just out of reach for me. I moved up to the 100-400 for my X-Pro2, and it has made a huge difference. Both are excellent lenses, but I love the 100-400 the most. I took a chance and added the 2.0 T.C. for special use, and I've taken some amazing photos with the combo (a few even hand-held). For travel, it is too bad that the 55-200 doesn't work with the T.C. (that would be an unbeatable combination). For me (a non-pro in South Dakota), the 100-400 is my absolute favorite lens. I hope my two cents is useful!

    I have both the D500 and Fuji x-t2. Was there any time during the action shots that you feel the D500 would have given you a better photo?
    What is the sling bag you are using?
    thanks

      Hi Collins. The x-t2 has never left me wanting any other camera body I've shot with for action shots. It's incredible. I do like the d500 a lot also. Just not it's size. The bag is the Hazard 4 Evac Plan-B. It's my favorite bag ever. I love it.

    I think Denae improved a lot with composition :) Well done guys. By the way, i have a suggestion about vids. Maybe you can add shutter sound-effect and text for who took it for photos and it would be more interesting in my opinion. Sometimes, video is getting more interesting to watch and discover around and can't follow who took photo :) And I have one video idea for u guys too. Struggle in street photography could be nice to hear from you guys' experiences.

    Great video and great, great photos - My favorite at 5:15! You do realize that your videos (or perhaps videos like yours (Do they exist?)) has made us stop watching tv and watch high quality CZcams channels (just like "Denea & Andrew") instead?
