I was lucky enough to work alongside Hugh on a production a few years ago, and he was most welcoming artist I’ve known. Even though I had a minor role, he made a point of coming over and introducing himself to me and having a quick chat.

I actually love Hugh’s career - I think his grown into such a treasure. I can’t imagine how boring it was relentlessly getting rom com leads (although I love rom com!) - he’s delivered some stellar performances now he’s got more freedom. Love him!

My opinion of Hugh as an actor has changed over the years with his role in cloud atlas & The Gentleman, would like to see him in more Dramas instead of Rom-coms. Come along way since Bitter Moon.
hes not going to do another rom com ever he is too old. he can take his comedy elsewhere now. he will always make people laugh. he even was funny , sometimes, in the undoing. i knew he was guilty before i saw the film though which ruined it. it might have been a surprise if i hadnt heard but it was too much out there. i thought nicole kidman was incredibly funny in paddington, but hugh really crushed it when he did paddington i don't think he was ever more funny

Oh dear. I watched The Undoing, but I remember absolutely nothing about. it Neither good, nor bad. I simply don't remember. Ergo in conclusion - in my personal opinion obviously - it was not memorable at all. Strange to think he would get an Emmy for it? Or at least be nominated. So I guess I have to watch it again?

He is intelligent and a quick thinker who is an old hand at these interviews. By the way I didn’t think he was convincing in this film series. Donald Sutherland was brilliant and so was the kid but Grant and Kidman were so so. Just didn’t buy it at all.

Maurice was very different and so was Remains of the Day. He just works with Richard Curtis a lot who essentially wrote the same character. Watch his recent stuff like The Gentlemen, A Very English Scandal, and The Undoing. he's brilliant!
