Ok, nice... but the comparison is effective only when the tuning is the same with and without the product installed. After he put on the wings, the head is tuned at least 4 semitones above the first sample.

I agree with you. I’m not sold on these things. I’m sure they’re expensive or he likes it because they’re free.

Did you noticed the MoonGels marks on the head.
go and try the product before getting into conclusions. On my next video I'll use a Drumdial, or you don't believe on those too, lol. Check the product, so you and your audience be well inform, I guarantee you will like it.

@@arielmunoz8446 That's exactly why I came here-to see how the product works before buying it. Isn't that the reason you made the video? Unfortunately, I haven't found a proper comparison. I use the Tune Bot, and it's easy to tune at the same pitch after the product has been installed. The MoonGel marks don't really mean anything in this context as the tuning was different, I mean... 4 semitones are A LOT!!!. I'll look forward to your next video with the Drumdial for a clearer comparison. Cheers!

@@yourdrumsound they add a bunch of mass to the drum. That is going to do something, they’re made of bell brass, so they’re fairly heavy. I saw them at the MC Drum show, and they certainly eliminate overtone and kinda fatten the sound up. I think it’s a lot more noticeable on a snare than a tom, it’s a bit different than dampening from a ring or snareweight. But to me, it’s a similar purpose. I wouldn’t say it transforms the tone of a CB700 into a Tama bell brass though, haha.

@@AJK.630 Yes, adding weight certainly has an effect, but I don't like it when the word "less overtones" turns into a dull sounding drum. I'd like to try them out, but here in Europe, with shipping, fees, and VAT, they get expensive. So, I'd like to hear a proper comparison before pulling the trigger. Let's see!
