How does the slum or ghetto in Kenya looks like ma’am.👍
Why are the roads dirty…. ? In a Busness place.
Wow, congrats 🎉
Hi African tigress, great video as always. Just wanted to ask what hands free your using to record? As I’m going back to Africa again this month but could not record much on my previous visit as people don’t like cameras in their angle, even when your not recoding them. I missed a lot a capturing moments because of this, so your answer will be a great help. Take care sis
Masha’Allah! Somalis are business minded people due to their ancient trade skills connecting africa to the world.
They went all to way to China centeriesago , they gave giraffes to the King's in China and documented there
I have been to Eastleigh a few times when i visited Nairobi and you can get good quality stuffs at affordable prices. However i can get past the litering /waste management. Government should have a system in place to collect waste and laws to keep the areas clean. That is my only issue.
Am somali American but I miss Africa and. My people in Kenya so much this video makes me cry really i remember isli usilie 1996 lol yeah 😆 it looks different from then n now Allah bless you all amen 🙏 ❤
Beauty African tigres, i dont know why somalian and west African musilum they are very good in business,i meet somalian and west African musilum business people in china,Dubai even europe if you see African shop mostily from somalia or west African
Thanks for sharing. Eastleigh had really changed so huge. I don't also know why they are not cleaning!!! those streets.
The problem is the municipality
Nairobi is a beautiful place and this market is amazing! I'm from Rio de Janeiro and there are some resemblance between Brazil and Kenya.
Nice !
Somalis are known for business minded due to their ancient trade skills.
Somalians owner every business
I was born and raised in Nairobi and never once stepped into Eastleigh, thanks for the view. Loved it...
Well come Eastleigh Nairobian mostly know were business hubs encouraging and increasing and more Fortunates brother
Kenyans are very good business people with a lot of skills in entrepreneurship. I say again, a country to visit and a culture to know. Much love sister from Ivory Coast 🇨🇮
This business is 95% is owned by Somalis not Kenyans
This business is owned by Somali🇸🇴🇸🇴🇸🇴 Community in kenya who were Born and Rsised n kenya and the Somali comes from Somalia. not kenyans🚫❌❌

You must be high or something.
Well, i haven't been to Eastleigh since i lived there in the 80s amd 90s. It is a whole new world with a million more people, vehicles and buildings than back then. I remember that the busiest place was the market on 2nd street next to the old Kenya Bus garage and depot. I wonder if it still exists?? The roads are way better though .The matatus back then were way nicer. Hizi za siku hizi are ugly on the outside. Anyone who can remember the likes of Chicago Bulls, Dominator and Baby Coach will agree with me on that😂
I remember these days 80 and 90 baby coach I also left 90 but went back Kenya I remember that market and bus service garage is not there anymore they have built big mix shops, it is not in 2nd street it was 2nd aven almost next to 10th street then you come to chief office never saw these place again they are all gone. and now is more crowded than these days.
40% somalian money is in Kenya. We somalian we are good human pple and we love and invest other neighbours country like kenya, uganda, tanzania . But unfortunately love and generosity we give we don’t get back.
What kind of giving back r u talking about
Kenyan in Somalia doing business r even afraid, some even come back n abandon their business there cos of insecurity
U Somalia discriminate other people so how do u give back
Be grateful Kenyans has welcomed u
What giving back are you talking about they work hard for their life plus uganda and Tanzania we don’t share nothing
@@asiimweflorence3782 give some litle respect and stop hating us for our faith and how we look like .Do you know that alots kenyans are in somalia working earning 4times more then in kenya .

Kenya never invited Somalians. It's their inability to maintain law and order in their country causing an endless war that brought them to Kenya for the heir survival. Infact Kenya didn't need them.
Hey girl thank you so much for taking us around as for me it's been soo long being in Kenya atleast i can feel am home💓🙌👏and one more thing u talk the same with Lynne Ngugi
Well-done madam, you have made this beautiful and informatics video, about travelling to Nairobi. Thank you AFRICAN TIGRESS Vlog
I was born in Eastleigh ,lived there in the 60s .I vaguely remember walking through a market to get through to a high road on the way to the library with my father..I always remember it is very clean and not as developed as this. My wish is to return to my birth place one day .Thank you for sharing this video..warms my 💖🙏.
Thanks for the nice shopping walkabout there in Nairobi....we stayed at Nairobi Hilton and Plums hotel in 1972...that was along time ago!!!!!!!!! :D Had 'ugali' with my our meals
I've really been enjoying your channel! I love to walk on my treadmill while you give us tours of places around the world. You are an extraordinary person and a pleasure to spend time with!
Mmmm Kenya needs to be strict with waste management in that area..we want Nairobi to be first world.
Cool....Thanks For sharing. Salute Kenya
Congra! for 178k dear keep pushing💃💃💃
Darling we did it 🥰
Kenyan city authorities don't clean garage from the street???? The streets looks like garage dump yards yakk
Great video thanks for sharing
Nairobi's Eastleigh estate is very fascinating. High rises dot the skyline. The infrastructure boom here is fascinating.
Incredible. Really I can't believe this is Eastleagh. I last visited the place in the first quarter of 1975. I will retrace it with complications today
Hongera sana Kenya. Salaams from Zanzibar
Asante 🤗❤️
Somalians owner
African Tigress, what are you using to shoot this video? I don't see many people staring at you. Would like to know.
Beautiful garments, diligent people. May peace and commerce prevail
My prayer is for the new city politicians to clean this area of Nairobi, help it reach Kisumu standards.🤗
Enjoyed your video but can you also show us the prices and the different fruits for sale.
I need to go shopping soon in this very same mall
Soboro is my drink with ice tea. Thanks ma’am 👍
Thanks for the nice shopping.
I see that they are very entrepreneurial and have a lot of thriving businesses in this neighborhood.
We pay taxes and it's the government's responsibility to clean up the #dirt.
You should come to the new mall in Eastleigh
I see so many ignorant people in the comments talking about Somalis if we talk about reality so many places are dirty in Nairobi just bcz u saw a clip from Has kartasi and plastic doesn’t give you to talk about a whole nation .Eastleigh shopping mall restaurant house are clean
Nairobi's dirty streets stick out like a sore thumb. Maybe I was oblivious to this growing up and living most of my life in Kenya before immigrating but the city seems to have deteriorated with time. I don't understand how grown up people of sound minds prefer to discard their trash on the streets without a scintilla of guilt and why the city council cannot install anti litter bins.
Nairobi deteriorated with time? You don't know what you saying. The place shown in this video is downtown and overpopulated. There are many cleaner parts of the city.
@@NYONAMATENDE Do not try to patronize me. I lived most of my adult life in Nairobi and worked there in the CBD for one of the top media houses for almost 10 years before relocating to the US only a decade ago. So I know what I'm talking about. I know every corner of Nairobi like the back of my hand, even more than you do, mjinga wewe.
@@anne-mariekosh5010 Some little research is all you need to prove yourself wrong. Don't just argue for the sake of arguing. Today's Nairobi is miles away from the Nairobi of a decade ago. All pedestrian paths in the cbd are now titled, just look for very recent videos of kenyatta avenue, Agha Khan walk or even the expressway.
@@NYONAMATENDE Who said I'm arguing? I don't even know you and mine is a pseudonym. But you are the epitome of what's wrong with Nairobi and Kenya today. You bury your head in the sand and when an impartial observer like myself comments in a constructive manner on how the city looks from out here, you go into attack mode. Typical of you to be hostile to us in the Diaspora, retrogressive mindset. Wake up to the reality and offer solutions, not defending what is indefensible. Most of Nairobi city is dirty, period. It doesn't matter whether a few streets are clean. I worked along Kenyatta avenue for the longest time and it now looks worse than back then. 10 years ago is not that ancient. That was only 2009, jus the other day. There is an influx of hawkers, trash and most pavements are worn out and dusty in the city. Street urchins and muggers still rule most streets not to mention the unruly matatu and boda boda culture. Come up with solutions on how the esthetics and orderliness can be improved in the city, not attacking people for pointing out the obvious. Nairobi has always had issues and seems to have deteriorated with time. That is my city and my country too, even if I am out here. Grow up and stop making everything personal and trying to kill the messenger.
@@NYONAMATENDE Hawa ndio wali grow up kwa poor ests in Kenya alafgu wakapata tupesa wakaenda majuu kuosha wazungu mafhudhi ndio anaongea na tumahasira twa penny mbili. Wacha naye asha makeup mind😂😂😂

No. It's 80% Christian. But this area Somalis dominate and they are Muslim.

Where is the local government why can they clean up the streets surely this people pay local.tax
Actually people are responsible for their own trash in most of Nairobi. Garbage companies want to do business there, but cartels won't let them.

A lot of people here are foreigners that’s why they don’t mind littering because they don’t take pride in the country. Kenya should be more strict on migration rules

Very self centered set of people Kenyans. It seems like every country blames their problems on immigrants.
Please don't call fellow Africans foreigners, it is only in South Africa that we are called foreigners, they are just migrants that contribute to the economy of Kenya by increasing the GDP.
True. They don't know that since primary students are always encouraged to though stuff in a bin so they just loiter since they don't care. Our immigration is a joke and most of these people would be better off in their home country where they love
