      I heard someone say they feed them corn at the hatchery but not sure 🤔 if that’s true. Would explain why they bite it so well

    Wow!!! I've never caught a trout.
    I wish I had a chance to catch, clean, and cook some of those!!! I bet they're good too lol

      You might check with your parks and wildlife department to make sure they don’t do it around there. It may stay too warm over there not sure.

      Hey Jeff thanks for the comment. I haven’t ate them yet. Everyone that I know personally says I should just feed them to my chickens lol Do you have any suggestions?

    Good to see you still doing videos Gary. I never have caught a trout. I think the closest place to do that for me is in North Georgia. Are you still guiding.

      Hey Glenn great to hear from you. Yes sir I’m still guiding. Have you been doing any fishing lately?

      Yes sir, still fishing the Alabama Crappie Trail. Going to Logan Martin on Saturday and fished Guntersville 2 weeks ago. Didn't catch a lot but what we caught were good sized. Finally got my boat set up the way I want it. I'm going to look at my calendar and see when I can book another trip with you. Probably this Fall since our last tournament is in June. Keep up the good videos. Glenn. @@CATCHAHAWG

    When I was in Arkansas they stop allowing corn because they said it block trout digestive system! Trout bites ,velvetta cheese or trout egg bait.

    • @CATCHAHAWG
      @CATCHAHAWG  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Hey John thanks for taking the time to comment. That makes sense. Nothing digests corn very well lol. I guess I should have mentioned to check the local laws first 🤦‍♂️

      @@CATCHAHAWG It probably doesn't matter in Texas since they die when it gets warm anyway.

      a different subject, and u have been using livescope as long as anyone I know., want your opinion on something,,, ok, it seems like especially in winter, when we find inactive fish, sitting deep on timber, they dont glow very much on the livescope.,, it seems like when they are actively feeding they look brighter on the scope.., heres my theory,, being sonar pics up primarily a fishes air bladder, what im thinking is if the fish has fed recently, there wont be as much space in thier abdominal cavity, and they deflate thier air bladders as much as possible, , while they rest and digest.. do u have any thoughts on this? thanks @@CATCHAHAWG

    • @CATCHAHAWG
      @CATCHAHAWG  Před 7 měsíci

      @@randy1ization I don’t guess I’ve ever thought about that. I very seldom fish for any deeper than 20 ft and if I do they are grouped up on the bottom. I will say however black crappie can be way harder to catch than whites. I’ve fished many schools of them and maybe catch one if any.

    • @randy1ization
      @randy1ization Před 7 měsíci +1

      in my neck of the woods, in winter, around 28 feet is usually best, but we have caught them down to 50 feet on timber.@@CATCHAHAWG

      @@randy1ization yeah there’s some folks that fish for them that deep here as well. I just prefer not to due to it being more difficult lol I guess livescope has made me lazy 😏
