I grew up in Taft, and used to go up there in the 1960's. It was a happening place with a dance on the weekends. There was also a pay to fish pond called Wheetly's Lake. There was also a tough hike to another creel called Bear Trap. Lots of good memories!

Thanks for posting the video. It is a shame the bar and grill closed down. It was quite the destination back in the day. I first discovered this place in 1973 when I lived in Ojai. It is a nice camp. The last time I camped there was about 10 years ago. I got my water out of the stream and filtered it using a Sawyer squeeze backpacking filter.
