This may seem kind of harsh but I wish someone told me this when I was a teenager. Whatever you’re going through right now, teenage years, your 20s, whatever it may be, in the grand scheme of things, this time period of your life is 1 tiny blip compared to what’s still to come. First gf/bf, getting married, finding something you’re passionate about and turning it into your career, having kids, growing old and watching your kids get married and have kids of their own. There’s so much to life that you haven’t experienced yet and that you have to look forward to. My teenage years sucked. Kids gave me hell, didn’t date anyone till I was 19 because no one wanted anything to do with me. And it took me a long ass time to realize that there’s so much more to life than regretting that 1 party you didn’t go to, or not asking that boy (or girl) out that you liked. Life’s too short to compare yourself to others experiences.

Today I've found this song and have decided to listen to it. I instantly recognized what it was, so I locked myself in my bedroom while listening to it with my headphones at full volume. I couldn't help thinking about my grandfather. It's been 5 months since he left us, and it has been my first major loss. He meant a lot to me, and I couldn't even say goodbye to him. While this song was playing, images of everything I have lived with my grandfather came to my mind. I have cried. I miss him so much.

But I got a therapist and slowly made progress, bit by bit, over the course of a couple of years, and I'm now in a much better place. I now know that yes life is short and yes this world is not the best, but I have been given this short life and I should use it to do what I can to make myself, and the people I love, happy. Life can be so shit sometimes, but it can also be wonderful. I realised that if I cut it short, then I wouldn't see the person I would become. We change and grow every day, so today is not the end. Even if you have been repeating the same day for years, there will come a day when that cycle is broken. I know you don't believe me, I wouldn't of believed me now when I was suicidal, but there is always hope and change and happiness in life, no matter how small, it is there.
Hey buddy ik that rn it feels like it will never end and that you feel hopeless I've been there, but somehow I found the right person it just takes time. And I'm that that's what everyone says and you probably think it's bs, I also thought it was bs but now ive found out it's not. I'm going through a brutal break up right now, I sat and listened to this song, abused substances did pretty much anything you can do to numb yourself. Hell, I'm joining the MILITARY, following in my fathers foot steps, going to university for a degree in molecular biology and oceanography. I really miss her enough she was everything ... she was very charismatic, funny, understood everyone perfectly, but my dad was everything otherwise ... my mom was killed by my dad while she was sleeping .. for me that was a great trauma and shock, my dad hurt me a lot psychologically just like my mom :(

Fuck it, I miss him. A lot. I shouldn’t even technically because it’s been what a year since I’ve seen him. My heart still beats so fast if I think I saw him in a crowd or if his story pops up. I miss him so much, his confidence, his warmth, his nicknames for me, his hugs, his voice, the way my stomach got butterflies when I see he texted me. I miss his touch. God knows how his feeling. I just want to feel it again. I fear I might not find that type of adrenaline ever again. I told myself I won’t fall for him. It won’t happen and it did now some nights I find myself thinking about him and listening to songs thinking of him. Only if he knew how much his god damn smile and personality would do so much harm to me. He taught me so much yet took so much from me.

This may seem kind of harsh but I wish someone told me this when I was a teenager. Whatever you’re going through right now, teenage years, your 20s, whatever it may be, in the grand scheme of things, this time period of your life is 1 tiny blip compared to what’s still to come. First gf/bf, getting married, finding something you’re passionate about and turning it into your career, having kids, growing old and watching your kids get married and have kids of their own. There’s so much to life that you haven’t experienced yet and that you have to look forward to. My teenage years sucked. Kids gave me hell, didn’t date anyone till I was 19 because no one wanted anything to do with me. And it took me a long ass time to realize that there’s so much more to life than regretting that 1 party you didn’t go to, or not asking that boy (or girl) out that you liked. Life’s too short to compare yourself to others experiences.

But I got a therapist and slowly made progress, bit by bit, over the course of a couple of years, and I'm now in a much better place. I now know that yes life is short and yes this world is not the best, but I have been given this short life and I should use it to do what I can to make myself, and the people I love, happy. Life can be so shit sometimes, but it can also be wonderful. I realised that if I cut it short, then I wouldn't see the person I would become. We change and grow every day, so today is not the end. Even if you have been repeating the same day for years, there will come a day when that cycle is broken. I know you don't believe me, I wouldn't of believed me now when I was suicidal, but there is always hope and change and happiness in life, no matter how small, it is there.

You will probably find the right person while not even searching for one, these things come on their own. And in the future when you've found that person you will look back at these moments and thank life that it didn't work out with those people because if it did you wouldn't be with your amazing partner. And about the other stuff, I went thru also and just when I found my soulmate it all went away and so will yours. Like you won't care anymore about those probs because all you will care about is you partner. I don't know why but ... every time I hear this song in any video ... it makes me feel strange ... I don't know I don't know how to explain it, this song makes me feel for some reason (sad) and (nostalgic) why It reminds me of all the moments I was with my mom ... she died when I was only 7 years old .. I really miss her enough she was everything ... she was very charismatic, funny, understood everyone perfectly, but my dad was everything otherwise ... my mom was killed by my dad while she was sleeping .. for me that was a great trauma and shock, my dad hurt me a lot psychologically just like my mom :(

Fuck it, I miss him. A lot. I shouldn’t even technically because it’s been what a year since I’ve seen him. My heart still beats so fast if I think I saw him in a crowd or if his story pops up. I miss him so much, his confidence, his warmth, his nicknames for me, his hugs, his voice, the way my stomach got butterflies when I see he texted me. I miss his touch. God knows how his feeling. I just want to feel it again. I fear I might not find that type of adrenaline ever again. I told myself I won’t fall for him. It won’t happen and it did now some nights I find myself thinking about him and listening to songs thinking of him. Only if he knew how much his god damn smile and personality would do so much harm to me. He taught me so much yet took so much from me.

It's tiring. I'm afraid I'll never find such a strong and unique love. I have no more hope. Everything is gray. I only have dark and negative thoughts. But I continue to fight.
