It's funny how Kung Fu Panda 2 raised the bar so high that people actually complained about Kung Fu Panda 3 having too much jokes, especially considering the first movie.

Exactly, the seriousness and darkness of the second film made people go so crazy that now anything that isn't serious or something like that is bad, even the first film was like that.

The feather that led tai lung to be freed was from the bird shifu sent to deliver the message about more guards, so if he wasn’t as anxious as he was, tai lung would still be trapped

It's amazing how the 2nd movie can make a peacock of all animals so scary. I've always considered Lord Shen the closest thing DreamWorks has to Scar, Disney's best villain. He's cold, calculating, his past directly ties in with the protagonist's, and there's so much depth to his character, plus Gary Oldman's performance is impeccable. I also love Po's struggle to find his true self and inner peace, and that "Po Finds the Truth" sequence in the panda village is so beautiful, yet so heartbreaking.
He's truly one of the best.
Only Death himself surpasses him.
Then Puss in Boots 2 came out and BOOM… Shen got dethroned 😂

Regarding the "if all pandas are fat wouldn't they just be normal sized": Ironically, Po would be considered small for his species. In Kung Fu Panda 3, his difference in lifestyle and culture is reflected in his body. He's not as big as the Pandas of the village.

A lot of people have said that the trilogy is Po's journey to learn about his Body(Po learns kung fu), Mind(Po confronts his trauma gains inner peace), and Soul(Po learns about his origins as a Panda and master chi)

I thought Kung Fu Panda 3 was quite good. Not as good as the other 2, but still a fun movie nevertheless. Anyway, I'm excited for the 4th one!

@@M_k-zi3tn idk i gotta agree with him, in a lot of ways it was kinda weaker than the rest, especially the climactic fight, while it was cool seein him go super saiyan, it didnt really have that same weight as him using the chopstick training move on Tai Lung, or when he used the Inner Peace against Shen's machine, like yeah it was them reconnecting with "Chi" but it felt a little rushed at the end, like they shouldve focused on the Chi more instead of them just giving him a Deus Ex Machina at the end
I say that although I think the first two films are better in some ways than the third, I'm not saying that the third is bad or too weak, to be honest it's very good, it's just that they placed so much expectation that it would be a film Seriously, it was like "it has to be dark, it has to be serious to be good" since that doesn't make any film good, when they talked about the third it seemed like they had completely discarded the first film

I have no idea how Jack Black and White was able to star in such a serious set of movies that were probably the best movies Dreamworks have ever made. King Fu Panda 3 is still quite good, but considering how it loosened the tone up a little too often I don’t quite hold it as good as the others, even if it’s still a very good movie
