  • Justin Coomer of Coomer Farms grows corn, beans and wheat in northeast Indiana where unforgiving clay soil is vulnerable to compaction issues. They have tried everything from conventional dual tires setups to track machines to help combat compaction. Conventional dual setups created pinch row compaction issues further robbing from the bottom line, while track equipment added additional expenses in replacing tracks due to heavy roading. Five years ago, Coomer Farms upgraded to Goodyear® Farm Tires featuring Titan® LSW® Low Sidewall Technology on their John Deere 8345R. The LSW1000/40R32 front and LSW1100/45R46 rear Optitracs delivered unsurpassed flotation, leaving only the slightest evidence of a footprint. When working lime utilizing the tractor's loader, the flotation provided by LSW tire technology prevented deep rutting and additional compaction. Coomer Farms has experienced proven performance from LSW tires and looks to upgrade more equipment with them in the future.
